In some regions, the Vek threat is so pronounced that a certain number of Vek must be destroyed to prevent the spread of Vek into adjacent regions.
Walkthrough
- 1Killing 5 Vek usually requires killing at least 1 Vek per turn and multiple Vek in at least 1 turn.
- 2Killing 7 Vek usually requires killing at least 2 Vek per turn.
- 3There are also missions where all Vek have to be killed.
There are multiple ways of destroying Vek:
- Direct Damage.
- Repositioning units so they take weapon damage from other Vek.
- Pushing ground Vek into Water, ACID tiles, or Chasms.
- Pushing Vek into obstacles like Mountains and other Vek.
- Pushing Vek onto tiles where Vek will emerge the next turn.
- Setting Vek on Fire so Fire damage kills it on the next turn.
- Using the Storm Generator and Smoke to kill Vek.
- Using mission environments to kill Vek such as the Air Strike, Satellite Launches, Lightning Storm, Cataclysm, Earthquake, etc.
- Killing a Soldier Psion causing all remaining Vek to lose 1 HP.
- Applying ACID to a Vek so it takes double weapon damage.
- Pushing Frozen Vek into Water, ACID tiles, or Chasms.
- Killing a Vek when a Blast Psion is present so the exploding Vek kills Vek in adjacent tiles.
