Complete Gears Tactics Part 14 walkthrough, including finding CT14, CT15, and CT16 collectibles, and strategies for Lethal Dusk.
Walkthrough
- 1Head back to the staircase. Directly across from it and behind a wall is a large ammo box.
- 2Proceed down the alleyway and take cover around the next corner where a Boomer and Locusts are present. Prioritize eliminating the Boomer first with the Lancer, then the other Locusts, or use the shotgun.
- 3Move to the right of where the Boomer was and hop over the low wall.
- 4As soon as you hop the wall near the broken fence, take cover behind the car. You will notice a symbol at the bottom of the screen. Repeatedly tap X to move the car.
- 5To the right of where the car stops, take cover behind a block. Equip grenades and throw one onto the platform to eliminate the enemy there.
- 6Take cover behind one of the three blocks and eliminate any approaching enemies, including Wretches. Use the Lancer to clear enemies hiding behind the low wall.
- 7Once all enemies are defeated and the hole seals, move on through the areas until a Point-of-Interest icon appears. Do not head towards the gate yet.
- 8Head straight from where you entered this area until you see mailboxes between two trees. Behind them is Cog Tag (CT15).
- 9Move toward the Point-of-Interest icon to activate a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) and end this section.
Outpost (A24)
This section is straightforward. Walk forward until the cutscene begins.
Lethal Dusk (A25)
- Head to the very end of the section to the fire and kick open the door on your right.
- Proceed through the old house until you reach the end of a hallway with a door you can kick open. There are no enemies.
- Kick open the door and immediately head straight forward to take cover behind the low wall. Equip your shotgun for the Locust that runs towards you.
- After killing the Locust, use your pistol to shoot the propane tank in front of the door of the shack directly in front of you.
- Switch to your Lancer, hop over the wall, and run to the shack door. Rev up the chainsaw and enter to kill the sniper. Alternatively, the shotgun can be used.
- Switch to the Longshot. Head to the right of the shack (facing it from the way you came in). At the block with a tree in the center, kill the Locust with a shotgun.
- Proceed forward, hugging the wall until you reach stairs. Head down them.
- At the bottom of the stairs, turn the wheel rapidly. If you are dying, hop off to kill enemies and take cover to regain health before continuing to turn the wheel.
- Head up the stairs and forward until you encounter two individuals who say, "Stay there! We're coming over! Stay under the light!"
- Head into the shacks to the right to stock up on ammo. A Longshot is available in this shack if you missed it earlier.
- Proceed through the house, kicking open doors. There are no enemies.
- Outside, shoot the two propane tanks: one directly in front of the car and another to the far right of the car.
- Take cover behind the car in front of the propane tank to the right of the first car. Use the shotgun for close enemies and snipe distant ones.
- Head forward until you reach a dark area. Look left for a shed in the darkness containing a propane tank. Shoot it.
- Enter the shed to find Cog Tag (CT16).
- Turn around and shoot the propane tank to the left of the car. Take cover behind the car.
- If you have the Longshot, attempt to snipe the Troika. If not, or if using the Lancer, run forward and shoot all propane tanks (one is in the wall indent to the left of the cabinet cover, another is directly to the right of that one) and then toss a grenade at the Troika.
- On the left is an opening. Head through here and through the building. The door to the last hallway before leaving the building has a Wretch that bursts out.
Tips
- For the Boomer encounter in Part 14, hiding behind the wall is more effective than hiding behind the car on Insane difficulty.
- If you are using a weapon other than the Longshot or Shotgun, assume "snipe" refers to using your preferred long-range weapon.
