Creating the Avatar

Understand that Avatar appearance (height, face, hair, voice) has no impact on gameplay and is purely cosmetic. Male Avatars cannot have hair decorations.

Recognize that Boon and Bane customizations alter your Avatar's stat growth rates.

A Boon increases a stat's growth rate, while a Bane lowers another stat's growth rate.

Consult the provided table to match descriptive terms (Robust, Sickly, Strong, Weak, etc.) to specific stats (HP, Strength, Magic, etc.) for Boon and Bane selections.

Consider prioritizing Speed as a Boon due to its critical role in determining double-attack opportunities. A Speed difference of five points or more allows for double attacks against an opponent, while the opponent can double-attack you if their Speed is five points higher.

Avoid making HP or Speed your Bane, as these are crucial for survival and avoiding disadvantages against enemies, especially on higher difficulties.

A common strategy is to select Strength or Magic as a Bane and focus on the other offensive stat. For example, boosting Speed and making Magic the Bane allows for a focus on strength-based weapons like Yato, potentially ignoring the Dragonstone.

Understand that your Avatar's Talent choice determines the one Heart Seal class they have access to.

Note that regardless of game version (Conquest, Birthright, Revelations), your Avatar can access every base class except Songstress, Maid/Butler, Wolfskin, Kitsune, and Villager as their Talent.

Utilize Friendship Seals to reclass your Avatar into the class of any same-gender ally with whom they achieve an A-rank support. This allows access to classes exclusive to other versions of the game, expanding skill options. For example, in Birthright, reaching A support with Hana or Ryoma (Swordmaster) or in Conquest with Peri or Silas (Paladin) can grant access to those classes.
