Defeat the Awakened Daimon in Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage. Learn its attacks and the treasure room rewards.

The Awakened Daimon is a tougher version of the original Daimon, primarily using magick spells like Bolides, Ingles, Miasmas, Levins, multi-Seisms, and multi-Comestions. It can also summon two disembodied dragon arms to swat at you; roll away if both arms swing, or under a single arm if it swings one. Climbing on the Daimon may trigger an immolate counter. Be wary of its draconic chest/mouth bite and its whitish dragonfire breath, which deals significant damage and can only be dodged by slow turns once unleashed. The familiar suck-everything-into-oblivion attack can be countered by keeping distance, hiding behind pillars or the throne, or hitting it with a heavy attack. After this attack, the Daimon becomes dormant and can be vulnerable if attacked enough, allowing you to target its draconic face in its chest.

Tips
  • When the Awakened Daimon prepares its dragonfire breath, it tracks quickly but can only turn slowly once breathing.
  • If you punish the Awakened Daimon enough during its dormant phase, it will fall, exposing its chest for attacks.

After Defeat:

Once the Awakened Daimon is defeated, a treasure room opens with four chests. The north chest randomly drops a Lv.3 Novelty or Rift Currency. The middle south chest drops a Moonbeam Gem. The east chest almost always drops a Lv.3 Weapon, and the west chest almost always drops a Lv.3 Armor. You can save/load to get desired items. After defeating both forms of Daimon, these chests will be available every time you return to the Bitterblack Sanctum.

Bitterblack Isle Navigation:

Make your way up the stairs to the west and exit the Bitterblack Sanctum. Pull the lever and open the gate. Descend to a lower ledge to the south-east to find a rounded chest. Continue along the ledge to the north. From the end of the ledge, you can drop to a wooden platform to reach Olra and Barroch, or climb to an elevated ledge to the north containing another rounded chest. Once back on the ground level, you can change Vocations, stash loot, and purify items.

Shortcuts remain open, and all bosses, levels, and chests will respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death), allowing for continuous Daimon runs. After completing Bitterblack Isle, return to the Everfall.

Ascension Quest:

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter the Everfall via the Pawn Guild entrance. Find Quince near the metal bowl on the 'Exit' platform. Give her the 20 Wakestones. She will warn that there is no turning back from exploring the Everfall after this, though you can still return to Gransys. A cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play, opening the rift. Jump into the rift. It is recommended to bring Potent Greenwarish, Large Mushrooms, and spare Wakestones.
  2. 2
You will arrive in the Rift and earn the Achievement/Trophy 'Freedom'. Approach the golden figure on the throne, the Seneschal. The Seneschal encourages you to fight for your destiny; losing means death, winning means becoming a god. After a cutscene, a fight begins where the Seneschal uses beams of light that are easily dodged.

EXP: 75,000
