Learn how to defeat the Daimon in Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage, including its weak points and attack patterns. Find Macabre Sculpture #30.
Walkthrough
- 1The Daimon's head is a vulnerable point, though it has no other outstanding strong-points.
- 2Use powerful attacks on its head to stagger it; once staggered, it is easier to stagger again.
- 3A high-powered Ranger can potentially stun-lock the Daimon.
- 4If not stun-locking, aim for the head and dodge its attacks, learning its attack routines.
- 5You can grapple the Daimon to score shots on its face, but do not stay too long to avoid its attacks.
- 6When the Daimon uses its suck-foes-into-oblivion attack, it becomes vulnerable.
- 7If you knock the Daimon out of this attack or survive it, it will enter a dormant/meditation phase where you can attack it freely.
- 8Dealing enough damage during this phase will cause it to fall, allowing for more punishment.
- 9The Daimon's oblivion attack is a major opportunity for damage if you can survive it and capitalize on the opening.
- 10After defeating the Daimon, loot the Sanctum. Pillars divide the area; find a Wakestone on a bone pile east of the throne at the northern end.
- 11Curatives like Harspud Sauces and Salubrious Brews are also found in the area.
- 12In the north-western corner of the area, find a small treasure room with four ornate chests (three south, one north).
- 13The central southern chest always contains a Moonbeam Gem. The others typically contain random, high-level Bitterblack items or Rift/Perfect Rift Crystals.
- 14These chests can be saved/loaded to obtain better results; notable potential drops include Armor Lv.3, Weapon Lv.2, and Novelty Lv.3.
- 15Lucky players may obtain Bitterblack Weapons Lv.3 from the Daimon himself, which are superior to other items and aid in a second run through Bitterblack Isle.
- 16After looting the chests, proceed through a doorway to the west and up stairs.
- 17At the door at the top, you will be warned that you cannot immediately return to the Sanctum; you must traverse the rest of Bitterblack dungeon again.
- 18Ensure you have your post-Daimon loot before proceeding.
- 19Through the door, you enter a small gated room. The way back is barred.
- 20Head south-east and lip a lever to open the way outside.
- 21Witness the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) with ghosts and Olra, after which the credits will roll.
