Alright, let's talk about the Wraith in the Castle of the Dead: Catacombs Path B. This fight has a bit of a gimmick, so pay attention!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• The Wraith takes very little damage in the first room.
• You must attack the wall to the right to open a path.
• Inside, grab a torch.
• You need to light the candles on the statues using the torch. The Wraith only takes full damage when a statue is lit.
• The candle will eventually burn out, so you'll need to repeat the process with subsequent statues.

Phases:

1. Initial Encounter: You'll start in a room where the Wraith is highly resistant to damage. Your first objective is to break down the wall to the right.
2. Preparing the Arena: Once through the wall, grab a torch. You'll see some ghosts in this area; take them out so they don't interfere later. Then, find the statue to the right and use your torch to light its candle. This makes the Wraith vulnerable.
3. Sustaining the Vulnerability: As the fight progresses, the candle on the statue will burn out. You'll need to grab the torch again and repeat the process with the next statue to the right, and so on.
4. Dealing with Adds: Throughout the fight, skeletons and undead will be summoned. The undead are particularly dangerous as they can grab you. Try to eliminate them with area-of-effect attacks or collateral damage while focusing on the main objective.

Strategy:

• Stay Behind It: The Wraith has swipe attacks. The best way to avoid these is to position yourself behind the boss. Be aware that it can also freeze you.
• Dodge the Scythe: The Wraith will throw its scythe like a boomerang. It's a relatively slow attack, so evading it shouldn't be too difficult.
• Ignore Ice Bolts (Mostly): The Wraith launches ice bolts that target your general location. They're pretty easy to see coming and aren't very accurate, so don't stress too much about them.
• Manage the Time Limit: You have a limited window to defeat the Wraith, roughly equivalent to the time it takes to light about 5 statues. If you run out of statues and the Wraith still has a lot of health, it might be best to cut your losses and escape by heading right.
• Prioritize Undead: Those grabbing undead are a real nuisance. Try to clear them out quickly, perhaps by luring them into environmental hazards or using wide-hitting attacks, so they don't interrupt your main assault on the Wraith.
