Learn the ins and outs of Dragon's Crown cooking minigame! Discover how to perfectly cook ingredients, utilize spices, and maximize bonuses after stages like Ghost Ship Cove and LoC.

The cooking minigame occurs after specific stages: Ghost Ship Cove, Ancient Temple Ruins, and Old Capital. It also happens after each floor of the Labyrinth of Chaos (LoC), though without boss ingredients. The bonuses gained from cooking last until your next cooking minigame or when you return to town.

Cooking Time: The most crucial aspect is cooking time. Ensure food is fully cooked but not overcooked, as both extremes result in poor stats. You'll know food is ready to be stirred when the left icon (stir icon) is present. Once this icon disappears, the food is fully cooked and should be eaten immediately. Avoid adding more spices at this point. Black smoke indicates the food has been overcooked.

Ingredients: There are two types: regular and boss ingredients. Regular ingredients appear unless a boss ingredient replaces them. Boss ingredients only appear after defeating the corresponding boss before the cooking minigame. Boss ingredients are generally superior. If a boss ingredient is available, prioritize it, use all three spices, and cook it perfectly. Possible boss ingredients include minotaur tongue, gazers, red dragon cut, doom beetle worms, chimera brain, killer rabbit, kraken, arch demon heart, harpy eggs, wyvern meat, and myconids. Good regular ingredients include carrots, green beans, rabbit, chicken, snake, scorpions, and barracuda.

Spices: Each camp has three spices, each with a multiplier for specific ingredients. Using all three spices is highly recommended, especially for boss ingredients, to maximize benefits.

Strategy: Before cooking begins, memorize your position. Identify the ingredient that offers the most bonus. Use that ingredient, apply all three spices if possible, stir until fully cooked, and then eat it. While cooking, look for the next best ingredient. If playing solo, cook two ingredients simultaneously, utilizing the downtime during stirring to start another dish. The goal is to maximize bonuses by perfectly cooking the best available ingredients.
