Part 9

Mangrove Cove (1-1): Start by heading left into the airplane wreckage for a free life balloon. Ground-pounding in the wreckage reveals TVs showing the Donkey Kong Country Returns title screen. Run right and slide down a waterslide. Swim left in the water to find a hidden puzzle piece in the wreckage. Swim right, near the bottom, to find a hidden banana coin behind grass near the tutorial pig. Grab the 'K' by jumping from the upper tree platform. Ground-pound the left-most cracked platform for a banana coin, and the right-most one for a hidden cache of bananas.

Shipwreck Shore (1-2): Jump on the green chomp, then jump left onto platforms. Ground-pound the yellow bulb plant to get a puzzle piece. Pull the first handle to access another platform with a handle; pull that one too. Pulling the third handle spawns a winged banana; collect all spawned bananas before they fly off-screen to get a puzzle piece. After Checkpoint #1, pull another handle, and the ground will fall. Jump on the green chomp to be carried up, then jump left to a platform with a puzzle piece. Fall down, go back to the chomp, and ground-pound the floor beneath it to find a hidden area with bananas and a puzzle piece. Throw the Diddy barrel to continue. Don't worry about falling floors. In the water, ground-pound the raft to the left for a life balloon. Use the raft to the right to collect a ring of bananas, revealing a giant banana bunch. Roll-jump off the right edge of this raft to get the 'O'. Ground-pound the raft again to reach the platform on the right. Pull the handle to access the first barrel cannon segment.

Barrel Cannon Segment: The second shot in the barrel cannon has a ring of items including a banana coin and a puzzle piece; time your shot to get them. If missed, there's another chance on the next shot. Fire the barrel cannon to the left to get the 'N'. Wait for a life balloon to float into the path of the next shot. Ground-pound the bulb flower on the left after hitting the viking ship for a banana coin. After Checkpoint #2, hop over spikes to encounter Snowmads. Ride the enemy-platform up and ground-pound the box to the right for a banana coin.
