Part 12

Walkthrough for Part 12 of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, covering Busted Bayou and the silhouette level, including all puzzle pieces, KONG letters, and secrets.

Walkthrough: Busted Bayou

1. To enter this level, you need the secret exit from Shipwreck Shore. Head right and pull the handle to reveal winged bananas that reward banana coins.
2. Continue right, collecting items and the Dixie barrel. Grab the vine like a zip-line; at the end, ground-pound the floor below to find a hidden area with a puzzle piece.
3. If you missed the 'K' at the end of the zip-line, use the bouncy platform to grab it. After the life balloon and banana coin, grab the handle under the punchy Paddy to reveal a formation of bananas. Collect them all for a puzzle piece.
4. Checkpoint #1. Grab the 'O' by jumping from the right.
5. At the end of the next zip-line, jump off to grab the 'N'. Do a full hop off the monocle Monica to reach a platform with pickups.
6. Drop down and head back to the start of the platform to find a handle. Yank it to reveal a blast barrel to a bonus area. Collect all bananas within the time limit for a puzzle piece.
7. Checkpoint #2. Traverse the next zip-line to a barrel cannon section. In the second cannon, wait for a life balloon to fill the gap in bananas, then time your shot to grab the swinging vine.
8. After the vine, use the moving barrel cannon to get the puzzle piece in the center.
9. Checkpoint #3. On the bouncy platform, wait for a winged banana to appear from the right.
10. In the next blast barrel, time your shot so the platform is to the left. Bounce off the hootz from the right to claim the 'G'.
11. The next zip-line requires skipping the center line to drop down and collect banana coins.
12. After this zip-line, drop left from the bouncy platform and pull the handle to make banana bunches appear. Collect them all for a puzzle piece waiting on the bouncy platform.
13. Two more winged bananas are in the next room, rewarding banana coins. The slot barrel is at the top.

Walkthrough: Silhouette Level

1. To enter this level, you need the secret exit from Canopy Chaos. Head all the way left to make a puzzle piece appear.
2. The Kong barrel rotates between Kongs; Dixie is recommended. Use the vine overhead to get a banana coin on the right.
3. Use the short vine ahead to get a banana coin. Roll through the side wall to enter a hidden area. Ground-pound the bulb plant for a puzzle piece.
4. The 'K' is on the lower section of the second hanging platform. From the hidden area, roll-jump to this platform.
5. Checkpoint #1. Right after, pull the handle to sprout a beanstalk. Climb the leaves, then swing on the vine through the wall to the right to reveal a hidden area with a puzzle piece.
6. Underneath that puzzle piece is a hidden area with a giant banana bunch. Look for a box with a cut-out on the left.
7. Grab the life balloon ahead. Jump through the platform it's under. You can do the same for the previous platform to get a heart.
8. Hang onto the short vine to draw down platforms. Jump left to find the 'O'.
9. A cracked rock platform hides a handle. Pull it to reveal a winged banana. Collect all goodies for a puzzle piece.
10. Pull the next handle underground; a background portion will fall away. If you missed the fourth puzzle piece, go back.
11. Start climbing down the long vine. When the foliage gets thicker, slow down. When the foliage silhouette forms a star, stop. Two rings of bananas will appear; collect them all for a puzzle piece.
12. Climb down the long vine, then head left. Use the shorter vine left of the airplane to bring down… (text cuts off here).
