Mole Patrol: Jump into the rocket barrel at the beginning within 3.5 seconds to achieve gold. Avoid mole miners as there is no tangible reward for popping their balloons in time attack.

Crowded Cavern: At the start, jump to the wooden platform, let it break, and drop down. Roll-jump to the rocket barrel and blast off within 10 seconds for gold. Watch for blue squeeklies flying across the screen; aim for their starting position. After the second checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death), dodge sonic attacks from the giant squeekly by moving up and down. Once it stops, move to the top to avoid its gigantic laser. The exit barrel appears shortly after.

The Mole Train: Grab the DK barrel before the arena. Immediately roll-jump and hover to the other carts when the fight begins. Continue until the carts fall off, then immediately roll-jump and hover to the next train. Repeat for the third train. To get gold, clear each train in about 35 seconds, as the fight takes approximately 20 seconds to defeat Mole Miner Max.

Jagged Jewels: The gold target is lenient, but the shiny target is difficult. The strategy below aims for shiny. Get the DK barrel on the right, then roll-jump right. Roll under the descending pillar and jump to the second platform. Jump to the round platform, then roll under two pillars before they descend. Jump off the tiki goon onto the round platform below, avoiding the buzzbite. Skip the middle round platform and roll under pillars, accepting damage to save time. Jump and hover to the round platform with a buzzbite. Jump to the long hanging platform, then over traps. Continue to the other side, onto the round platform, and the next hanging platform. Jump over spikes, then roll-jump over the next set. When spears retract, jump through to the next hanging platform before they rise. Roll-jump through the next set of spears. Quickly cross the hanging platform to the small platform before the spear. Wait for it to retract, then jump across the hanging platform. At the platform with a vase, use any remaining hits as it's difficult to pass this section without damage. Jump into the barrel cannon to reach the exit barrel.
