    Ship Section: Position yourself on a stack of two skull crates. Wait for cannonballs to reveal a barrel cannon underneath. Fire into the ship's hull. Roll into fences twice to break them and proceed to the deck. Use the barrel cannon past the checkpoint. Break the ship's wheel by rolling into it twice. Roll-jump into the blast barrel to the right, then move upward and left. Use the next barrel cannon to reach a platform. Wait for a cannonball to hit the platform, then tilt it by standing on the left side. Roll-jump right to the second suspended platform. After the blast barrels, wait for the mast to rise before hitting the exit barrel.

    Damp Dungeon (3-4): Roll into the temple and grab the DK barrel between the first two water wheels. From this platform, roll-jump onto the water wheel platform ahead, then to solid ground on the right. In the next area, ignore the climbable ceiling. Jump onto the first small platform, then roll-jump under the snaggles to the third platform. Perform a full bounce off the stilts onto the water wheel. In this room, roll-jump between stationary platforms between water wheels. After rolling through rawks, continue past the checkpoint into a barrel cannon. After firing, roll right off the solid platform. Roll-jump to the first water wheel, then immediately to the second. When the second wheel swings right, jump to the platform with the tiki bomber, then roll-jump into the barrel cannon on the right. Back in the foreground, take the climbable ceiling all the way right. Damage from stilts is expected; Diddy is not required. Roll-jump to the single water wheel platform and wait for it to align with the exit barrel. If you have a hit remaining, jump through the giant snaggles to the exit barrel; otherwise, wait for them to move.

    Itty Bitty Biters (3-5): At the start, roll to a vine and grab it. Wait for the idol to open and grab the DK barrel inside. Roll right, avoiding spikes. Roll off the platform left of the cageberry and into its side to flip it. Ground-pound it to reach the vine above. Continue roll-jumping from platform to platform. Jump over the next cageberry. Use the third cageberry to reach the platform above. Roll past the checkpoint to a stack of yellow toothberries. To get past them, take damage by walking into the stack, then walk (do not roll) through them. Quickly pass through the second stack. You will need to take another hit to pass the third stack. Roll-jump off the second small floating platform, then full bounce off a toothberry that pops out of the ground to get over a cageberry and grab the DK barrel. In the next room, defeat two sets of toothberries quickly. Jump on blue ones; roll-jump on red ones as they follow. Stand in the middle of the room for them to drop down. Use the appearing barrel cannon. Blow leaves off the DK platform and ground-pound it to reveal the exit barrel.

    Temple Topple (3-6): Roll-jump right a few times and grab the DK barrel. Roll right, avoiding tiki tanks by jumping over them. Bust out Rambi from his crate and charge right, ignoring fire hoops. Continue to the checkpoint. After the checkpoint, hit the blocks under tiki bombers to destroy them and their fireballs. Bouncy flowers will slow you down; jump over them if possible. Reaching the second checkpoint within 53 seconds is good for a gold medal.

    Ruined Roost (3-B): This level's shiny medal target has leeway; the best time is 00:34.05. Be patient. Stu will move left immediately. Jump on the far left stack of blocks as the battle begins. He will throw three bombs directly.
