Guide your Guardian through The Devil's Lair, defeat the Devil Walker and Sepiks Prime, and master Patrol missions in Destiny: The Taken King.

Alright, let's dive into Part 13 of our Destiny: The Taken King journey. We're heading into some pretty iconic territory, so get ready for a couple of tough boss fights and some tips for when you're just exploring the Cosmodrome.

Walkthrough: The Devil's Lair

  1. The Blast: As you approach The Devil's Lair, you'll encounter a mix of Fallen enemies: Captains, Vandals, Dregs, and Shanks. It's best to clear these out quickly because a Devil Walker is about to show up, and you don't want to be dealing with adds while it's active.
  2. Devil Walker Fight: This is a major step up from previous encounters. The Devil Walker has several attacks:
    • Cannon Blast: It fires this often, indicated by a red laser sight. The charge-up gives you time to react, but the blast radius is large, so always move and find cover.
    • Chaingun: After a Cannon Blast, it'll use its head-mounted Chaingun. Get behind cover immediately to avoid heavy, sustained damage.
    • Laser Array: Similar to the Cannon Blast, this is signaled by blue sparks on its left weapon. It charges briefly, so take cover.
    • Melee: If you get too close, it will try to melee you.
    • Shock Grenades: These are launched from its sides and will actively seek you out.
When a hatch opens, focus fire to disable it. The key to this fight is targeting a single leg. Once enough damage is dealt, a leg will buckle, causing the Walker to collapse and expose its neck – its second weak point. Use your Special, Grenade, and Heavy weapons on the exposed neck for maximum damage. You might not take it down in one collapse, so switch to another leg and repeat the process. Taking down all six legs defeats it, but hitting the neck is the fastest way.
  3. The Devils' Lair Entrance: After defeating the Devil Walker, you'll push through some Dregs and Vandals to reach The Devil's Lair itself.
  4. Sepiks Prime Fight: This is the main boss of the area. Before Sepiks Prime becomes vulnerable, you'll need to clear out the remaining Fallen. Use the debris for cover and pick them off. Once the area is clear, Sepiks Prime will be ready to fight.
    • Sepiks Prime Attacks: Its primary attack is an Eye Blast, a fast-moving, dark explosive projectile that's highly accurate. You need to react quickly to dodge it. It will also melee you if you get too close.
    • Challenges: The real difficulty comes from the other Fallen that join the fight and Sepiks Prime's frequent teleportation. Keep an eye out for drop ships, as they'll also fire on you.
    • Strategy: Focus your Special and Grenade attacks on its
