W2-1: Smithing Grounds

From the Archstone, head up the stairs to find a Crystal Lizard spawn point to the left of the Filthy Man, near a wagon by the cliff. Repeatedly respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) (exit and re-enter the game) from the Archstone until all lizards have appeared.

Past the Crystal Lizard area, along the cliff, pick up an Unknown Hero Soul.

Speak with the Filthy Man merchant and check his wares.

Turn around from the merchant and proceed past the first set of stairs toward a building. Be cautious of enemies on the roof throwing boulders.

Wait for an opening, then run to the wagon on your left, smash it, grab the Sticky White Slime x2, and return to safety.

Dash past falling boulders and enter the building.

Inside, turn the large handle to activate an elevator.

Step onto the elevator platform as it ascends. Be cautious upon entering the next level, as a fat official inside will throw firebombs. Defeat him.

In the right corner, grab the Renowned Warrior Soul.

Exit through the door on the left to face boulder-hurling scale miners.

Pick up the Crushing Battleax +1.

Return to the elevator and ride it down to the bottom.

Pick up the Stone of Ephemeral Eyes.

Take the elevator back up to the starting room.

Proceed forward to fight a group of three scale miners.

Continue through the doorway into an open area. Beware of a fat official and a pack of three dogs.

Break the pots near the entrance ahead to release the dogs. Defeat the fat official, who will be throwing firebombs.

Pick up the Clearstone Shard x4 and the Sharpstone Chunk, Hardstone Chunk, and Clearstone Shard x4 in the room the official was guarding.

From the room before the fat official, turn right and follow the path, defeating scale miners in the next three corners.

The first room to your right is empty. In the corner of the hallway, find Crescent Moon Grass x4.

The next doorway leads to the other side of the previous room and contains a Pickaxe.

Continue to the top of the stairs. A fat official on a platform above will start firebombing. Use ranged attacks or approach carefully.

Exit the stairway, take a left, and head up more stairs to reach the official's level.

Walk along the far left edge of the badly supported platform to reach the official. Do not stray right, or you will fall.

Defeat the official and pick up the Renowned Hero Soul.

Intentionally fall through the floor on the way back.

Pick up the Unknown Warrior Soul that was visible earlier.

Head up the stairs and follow the path across a sturdy wooden bridge, defeating two scale miners.

In the corner near the scale miners, pick up Ed's Sharpening Stone x2.

Head right from the bridge to a dead-end. Pull the lever to open the gate above.

Return to the last bridge and drop down to the start of the open area.

Make your way back to the elevated area where you crossed the broken bridge to reach the fat official.

Continue up more stairs to find another Unknown Warrior Soul near the edge.
