Navigate the Stilt Village in Dead Cells with our comprehensive guide. Learn about enemy types, level layout, secrets, and exit possibilities to conquer this seaside level.

Stilt Village is the default fifth level in Dead Cells, often encountered early in a playthrough. It requires no special runes to access, making it a common and relatively safe early-game area. The level features a seaside aesthetic with numerous enterable houses and decorative boats.

Within the houses, players will find various entrances leading to new screens. These entrances are often indicated by pictures next to the door: a timed door, a shop (coin icon), or a key icon. Two locked doors block progress, requiring keys found within the level. The first is found around the midpoint, and the second is near the end.

Stilt Village offers two exit possibilities. The standard exit leads to The Clocktower. An alternate exit, accessible with the Teleportation Rune, is found within a building near the end. This leads to a teleportation totem that transports the player to an area with an exit to the Forgotten Sepulcher. Note that only two keys are present, so opening the second locked door dictates the final exit.

Level Details

  • Alternate Level Possibilities: Graveyard, Slumbering Sanctuary
  • Exit Possibilities: The Clocktower, Forgotten Sepulcher
  • Enemy Types: Zombie, Purulent Zombie, Corpse Worm, Pirate Captain, Kamikaze, Weaver Worm
  • Higher Difficulty Enemy Types: 1 Cell: Masker; 2 Cells: Inquisitors (replace Zombies); 4 Cells: Runner

  • Timed Doors: 17:00 minutes (rewards 1 Scroll of Power and 28 cells)

Enemies

  • Purulent Zombie: Slow-moving skeletal enemies with green blobs. They are slow and easy to avoid in melee, but release Corpse Worms upon death. Ranged attacks are recommended to create distance.
  • Corpse Worm: Small, annoying enemies that can teleport. They have a short-range bite attack. They only spawn after a Purulent Zombie dies. Ranged attacks or turrets are effective due to their low health.
  • Pirate Captain: The most difficult enemy in the level. They wield a cannon for ranged (exploding cannonballs) and melee attacks. Ranged combat is safer, or a strong weapon can stun them before they complete their fast melee combo.
