The world of Dave the Diver is filled with numerous optional objectives that go beyond the main story. These are categorized as Sub Missions, VIP Missions, and Seasonal Events, offering unique challenges and rewards. While diving, active missions can be tracked via the 'To Do' list on your smartphone, and specific Ecowatcher missions can be viewed through the diving pause screen.

Sub Missions offer a variety of tasks that can be undertaken at different points in the game, often tied to specific chapters or content packs. These include missions like 'Duff's Pink Delivery' and 'The Leahs-chan Rescue' during Chapter 1, and special content pack missions such as the 'Godzilla Content Pack' and 'Ichiban's Holiday Content Pack'.

VIP Missions are a special set of objectives that players can access, also spread across various chapters and content packs. These missions are distinct from the main and sub-missions and may require specific conditions to be met or advanced progress in the game.

Seasonal Events, such as 'FishMon - Weekly Fish', introduce time-limited challenges and content, encouraging players to engage with the game during specific periods for exclusive rewards.
