Navigate Sen's Fortress in Dark Souls Remastered, avoiding traps and defeating Serpent Soldiers. Learn about required equipment and enemy drops.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Optional: To find the Dark Moon Seance Ring, travel to the Catacombs in the graveyard by Firelink. Start at the second Bonfire behind an illusory wall (a hidden wall that disappears when attacked). Cross the bridge and attack a breakable wall. A Giant Skeleton will drop down in the next room; the ring is behind a coffin at the end.
  2. 2
Return to Undead Parish and proceed to the Bonfire above Andre.
  3. 3
Head to the previously locked gate and enter Sen's Fortress. Be aware of traps, hazards, and enemies.
  4. 4
Immediately upon entering, watch for a slightly raised floor tile that triggers an arrow trap.
  5. 5
At the top of the stairs, you will encounter Serpent Soldiers. These enemies have swords and can bite with their long necks. Backstabs are effective, and Lightning or Fire Pyromancies can be used from a distance. They drop Man-Serpent Greatswords. Bait them out one at a time, or use the arrow trap to damage them.
  6. 6
Behind some urns, find a Soul of a Brave Warrior.
  7. 7
Head up the stairs to a narrow walkway with a swinging axe trap.
  8. 8
Before crossing the bridge, drop off the left side to a doorway on the bottom floor.
  9. 9
Climb the ladder in this room to find a Large Soul of a Proud Knight at the top. Strike the white-ish illusory wall behind the item to reveal another ladder.
  10. 10
At the top of this ladder is a Giant. Giants are slow but can stomp or swing their arms. Hiding underneath them can avoid most attacks. They have a frenzy attack after which they are vulnerable. Pyromancies deal significant damage. Only one of the three Giants in the Fortress will respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death). This non-respawning Giant drops a Titanite Chunk.
  11. 11
Grab the Titanite Chunk from the dead Giant.
  12. 12
Return to the axe-swinging bridge and carefully cross, timing your movements with the swinging axes to avoid being knocked off.
  13. 13
A Serpent Soldier will appear on the bridge after the first set of axes; defeat it.
  14. 14
Before reaching the end of the bridge, drop down to a darker platform underneath.
  15. 15
Kill the three Serpent Mages in this area. They cast lightning and their weapons can cause Bleed, but they are vulnerable to backstabs. They drop Flamberges.
  16. 16
Drop into the Tar Pit. The Rusted Iron Ring can increase movement speed here.
  17. 17
Turn around within the pit and go through a small tunnel to find a Prowling Demon guarding items. Pyromancies are effective against them.
  18. 18
The Prowling Demon drops Demon Titanite. Also find a Soul of a Brave Warrior and a Scythe.
  19. 19
You can return to the Bonfire via a ladder or by using a Homeward Bone. There are four Prowling Demons in total, two of which are close together. They are a source of Demon Titanite but otherwise not essential to fight.
  20. 20
Cross the entire bridge again, passing the axes, and enter under the arch at the end.
  21. 21
Head left and up the stairs to a narrower bridge with more swinging axes and another Serpent Mage at the end.
  22. 22
Keep your shield up while dodging axes to avoid the Mage's lightning. Defeat the Mage.
  23. 23
Upon entering the room after the bridge, avoid a loose floor tile that triggers an arrow trap.
  24. 24
Once the trap is sprung or avoided, open the chest to find Large Titanite Shard x2.
