Professor Nakayama, I Presume

You'll start by heading towards Scylla's Grove. Keep an eye out to your right; there's a Borok nest there. It's a good spot to get a feel for the enemies you'll be facing and maybe snag some extra challenge and loot.

Push on towards the North East section of the area. This is where you'll find a cave filled with Scaylions. Just work your way through the cave, taking them out as you go. It's a pretty linear path, so just keep moving forward.

Once you clear out enough Scaylions, a bigger one named Thermitage will show up. Your job is to take him down. He's a bit tougher than the regular ones, so focus your fire on him.

After dealing with Thermitage, you'll find out that Nakayama isn't too thrilled with just monster hunting. So, the mission objective shifts: you need to go and start some serious trouble in a savage village. Head back towards where you entered this area, look for a cluster of vending machines, and you'll see a ramp leading up to the village. Take that ramp.

Now you're in the savage village. This path is also pretty linear, but don't underestimate the savages. They can be surprisingly tricky. Remember those core Borderlands fundamentals: try to draw the melee-focused savages away from their ranged buddies. This way, you can deal with them one-on-one without being overwhelmed. Also, keep an eye on the witch doctors – they can be a real pain if you ignore them for too long.

Keep pushing through the village, and you'll eventually ride an elevator up to the top of a plateau. You'll meet an old friend up here, but don't get too comfortable. The savages aren't going to stay friendly for long. You'll want to find some cover quickly so you can effectively fight back when they inevitably turn hostile.

The onslaught of enemies on the plateau is pretty intense and frequent. The good news is, there are no witch doctors up here, which makes things a bit more manageable. As long as you stay light on your feet, keep moving backwards, and aim for the squishy parts of the savages, you should be able to get through this fight without too many problems.

Once you've survived the assault, your final task for this mission segment is to hand it in. Just follow the prompts to complete the objective.
