Guide to finding all the hidden Messages in Bottles in Borderlands 2's Captain Scarlett DLC. Locations for Oasis, The Rustyards, Wurmwater, Magnys Lighthouse, and Hayter's Folly.

Alright, so you're looking to track down those elusive Messages in Bottles in Borderlands 2, specifically in the Captain Scarlett DLC? These little guys are scattered across the new areas, and while they don't give you a massive reward on their own, finding them is part of the fun and can contribute to your overall completion. Let's get you sorted!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Oasis: Head to the Rockview Rest Stop. Look for a bottle sitting on a platform that overlooks the main part of the oasis, the area where you'll be doing some sand skiff driving. It's pretty visible once you're in the right spot.
  2. 2
The Rustyards: This one's tucked away inside a ship. Once you're in the ship, keep an eye on your map for an exclamation mark – it'll point you towards the general area. The bottle is hidden behind a board that's fastened to the inside of the ship's hull. You might need to do a bit of looking around inside the ship.
  3. 3
Wurmwater: As soon as you enter Wurmwater, hang a right. You'll find yourself in a pretty big, aggressive camp. Keep pushing further into the map until you see palm trees hanging over from the cliff. The bottle is sitting right on top of one of those palm trees.
  4. 4
Magnys Lighthouse: You'll need to make your way to Spire Town Docks. Just behind this area, you'll find a tunnel that's crawling with Stalkers. The bottle is chilling on a ledge right next to this tunnel.
  5. 5
Hayter's Folly: This one's a bit more involved. After you've dealt with the bosses The Big Sleep and The Sandman, you'll need to drop down onto a ledge that's coming down from the waterfall. The bottle is waiting for you right there.
Tips
  • Don't just rush through areas; take a moment to look around, especially in the spots mentioned. Sometimes the bottles are just slightly off the beaten path.
  • If you're having trouble spotting a bottle, try looking from different angles or heights.
  • Keep an eye on your mini-map for any unusual markers, though the exclamation marks are usually your best bet.
