The BONELAB Hub, also known as the Special Projects Area, is the second level and main hub of BONELAB. It serves as the access point to the six main gamemodes and is a central turning point in the campaign. The hub contains six modules that allow the Avatar to access various themed maps, as well as a Bodymall where different avatars can be set.

Walkthrough

    Upon exiting the Conceptual Isolation Chamber, the Avatar finds themselves in the Special Projects Area. The bulletin board tasks the Avatar with exploring three modules.

    After exploring three modules, energy cores will unlock above them. The Avatar must then progress to the control room.

    In the control room, pilot the BOSSCLAW using the provided controls: a lever to extend/retract, directional controls for movement along rails, and a button to toggle the magnetic gravity field.

    Using the minimap, pilot the BOSSCLAW to the unlocked energy cores and activate the gravity field to attract them.

    Bring the attracted energy cores to one of the six flanking tubes. They will automatically snap into place when close enough.

    Progress requires attaching energy cores to any three pipes. This will unlock the massive quarantine airlock to the right of the control room.

    Once the player is returned to the Hub later in the game, explore the remaining modules and retrieve their cores.

    With all six cores attached to their pipes, the BONEWORKS door to the right of the control area will become openable.

    To access the Hidden Room, enter the metal vents underneath the lab. Navigate the corridors to find two walls with hand-drawn doors.

    Use one of the Keycards found in Stress Level Zero's offices to cross one of the walls and reach a room connected to the Lab, physically located underneath MythOS City's District 05. The purpose of the second hand-drawn door is unknown.

  • The BONELAB Hub contains two Beings: Crablets and the BOSSCLAW.
  • The music playing as you enter the Special Projects Area is "Would You Even Know".
