A complete walkthrough for the Colford Cauldron area in Bastion, detailing enemy encounters, item locations, and strategies for overcoming challenges.
Walkthrough
- 1Follow the rock platforms, destroying yellow Vineapples. Deal with Stinkeyes using a ranged weapon.
- 2Take out Stinkweeds and Wallflowers on floating islands with a ranged weapon, then proceed southeast.
- 3Walk over submerged Stinkeyes. Pick up the Fire Bellows when the walkway opens.
- 4Burn down dead trees and any enemies that appear. Take the eastern path to find Something Heavy, then return and go south.
- 5Navigate the narrow walkway, dealing with Peckers, Bootlickers, Stinkweeds, Swampweeds, and Stinkeyes.
- 6Burn Pincushions and Wallflowers near another dead forest. The Fire Bellows can damage Wallflowers even when they are invulnerable. A Pecker Nest drops after defeating all monsters in this area; pick it up.
- 7Burn through dead trees and head south to the Arsenal. Something Pointy can be found next to the building. It is recommended to keep the Fire Bellows for the rest of the level.
- 8Return to the previous island and continue west.
- 9As you approach the Shard, deal with Peckers and Wallflowers. A large batch of hibernating Stinkeyes will awaken when you pick up the Shard.
- 10Stand back near the Shard's location and wait for the Stinkeyes to group up. Use the Fire Bellows and rotate to defeat them.
- 11With the Shard, backtrack through Colford Cauldron to the entrance. A shortcut appears, but it is guarded by Peckers and Stinkweeds. Battle through and ride the Skybridge back to where you found the weapon.
- 12An abnormally large Stinkeye and smaller versions appear. Keep your back turned when fighting these enemies, turning around quickly to attack before the Stinkeye can close its eye.
- 13Continue backtracking to the Skyway at the level entrance, fighting Peckers, Wallflowers, and Stinkweeds.
- 14The Bastion: Show Zia the Pecker's Nest to receive a Pecker pet and unlock the "Pet Sitter" Achievement. Discuss the Memento with Rucks, use the Shard, and upgrade a building.
Tips

- Be cautious on narrow walkways where multiple enemy types can attack simultaneously.
- When fighting the large Stinkeye and its kin, remember Rucks' advice to keep your back turned and attack quickly when turning around.
