These little guys are super important for upgrading your gear and crafting special ammo, so knowing where to grab them is key. You'll mostly find them in yellow crates scattered around, and there are a couple of solid methods to keep your inventory stocked.

Where to Find Spare Parts Crates:

The most straightforward way to get Spare Parts is by opening up those yellow crates. You'll find both small and large ones. Small crates usually give you one or two parts, while the big ones can bag you around five. Keep an eye out for these!

• RDA Facilities: These are your bread and butter for finding crates. Look for RDA bases marked by smoke on the horizon or as an orange area on your map. Once you clear out the facility, you'll often find a large yellow crate with a good haul of Spare Parts.
• Resistance Field Labs: Some Resistance Field Labs might be without power. You'll need to find the control panel, repair it, and then use your SID to link up any parts that need power. Once the power is back on, you'll usually find a large yellow crate inside, giving you another five Spare Parts. One such lab is located west of Step's Cradle in the Upper Plains region.

Looting AMP Mechs with the Scavenging Expert Skill:

This method requires a bit of an investment upfront, but it pays off later. You'll need to unlock the Scavenging Expert skill in the Memories of the Maker Skill Tree. This will cost you at least six Skill Points, so make sure you're collecting Ancestor Skills (worth two points each) and Tarsyu Saplings (worth one point each) to get enough.

Once you have this skill, you can get a single Spare Part from defeated RDA AMPs (Mechs). What Spare Parts Are Used For:

• Trading with Merchants: Once you reach the Resistance HQ in Kinglor Forest, you can trade Spare Parts with merchants. You can get your hands on some powerful RDA weapons like Assault Rifles and Shotguns, as well as attachments and armor. The Exquisite Assault Rifle and Shotguns are particularly good investments early on for a big Combat Strength boost.
• Crafting Special Ammo: This is arguably the more important use. Spare Parts are used to craft potent secondary ammo types for your weapons, like Explosive or Poison Arrows. Having a good stock of these means you can craft ammo on the fly during intense firefights, which can absolutely make the difference between life and death when you're deep in an RDA facility.
