These are super important for crafting some of the best Heavy Bows in the game, especially the ones with the Focused Draw perk that doubles your exhaustion timer. Plus, you'll need them for a quest at the Over Gentle Water Na'vi Camp. Let's get you sorted!

First off, you'll need to have progressed through the story a bit. Specifically, you need to have finished the main mission The Wandering Clan, which unlocks the second region, the Upper Plains. Once you're there, start exploring the caves scattered around. Not every cave will have them, but we've found a reliable spot.

Head to the sub-region called The Celebration Valley in the Upper Plains. Look for the cave located to the west of Zakru Falls. It's a bit of a trek, but this cave is your best bet for finding Cave Roots. When you find them, make sure to gather them by holding the analog stick down – this is how you get the pristine quality!

Now, if you're aiming for the really good stuff, the Exquisite Cave Roots, it's a bit trickier. You won't find these in just any cave. These high-quality roots are only found near Blistering Roots, and the only place we've confirmed them so far is in the Cascading Stones sub-region of the Clouded Forest. Just a heads-up, the Clouded Forest is the third and final region of the game, so you'll need to play quite a bit more before you can access it.
