Hey there! Taverns in Assassin's Creed Rogue are super useful little spots. Think of them as your go-to for recruiting new shipmates for the Morrigan, getting hints about side missions like assassin intercepts or treasure maps, and even for a bit of fun with gambling mini-games to earn some extra coin. Plus, you can have Shay have a drink, which can be… interesting. There are nine taverns scattered across the map, and they all start out locked.

To get a tavern up and running, just head to the jug icon on your map. Once you're there, walk inside and chat with the bartender. This will trigger a small bar fight where you'll need to take down four guys in hand-to-hand combat. Don't worry, it's not too tough, and once you've dealt with the troublemakers, the tavern will be unlocked and ready for business!
