Age of Empires III Part 6 walkthrough: Find caches, destroy a mosque for 500 XP, and defeat pirates to advance.
Walkthrough
- 1Head back to the cave entrance and go inside.
- 2Advance north to find two caches.
- 3Go east for another two caches.
- 4Go south-east for the last three caches, guarded by a second red town centre and stationary units. Use your bombard and legions to defeat them.
- 5Do not destroy the caches yet. Head farther south to find a mosque that can be destroyed for 500 XP.
- 6Defeat the red ships guarding their dock, using mortars and your bombard.
- 7Killing off the last three caches opens a new route through the caves and grants victory.
Tips
- Peasants could have been used earlier to collect supplies, but it is not necessary.
Walkthrough
- 1Move your wagon between the tapirs and the silver.
- 2Build your town centre south of the trees, away from the beaches. Ensure the St. Elmo flagship is not attacked.
- 3Build a barracks and a dock.
- 4While combat units clear enemies from the island, including jaguars in the west, a peasant can retrieve a tame jaguar named Janey.
- 5Collect crates on the beach and destroy a red house on the southern cliffs for more resources.
- 6Build your base and place your dock at the top of the east coast.
- 7Repair and keep Morgan's flagship by right-clicking it on the dock.
- 8Build all seven towers at extreme points along the coast, including the westernmost point overlooking the small island, the long beach at the west (where another dock will be built later), and two overlooking the southern bay.
- 9Upgrade towers fully when affordable.
- 10Once the barracks and dock are built, a marked area to the south-east will appear for the objective to find and collect three navigation charts.
- 11A free ship from Malta will arrive soon after building the dock and barracks, and more free ships will arrive occasionally, sometimes dropping free land units on the beach.
- 12Defend against pirate ships from the west using towers and free ships.
- 13Send ships south-east to scout the area for the next objective.
- 14Take out buccaneers from the water.
- 15Advance to the Fortress Age when resources allow (Admiral of the Ocean Sea was chosen for the caravel and wood).
- 16Put all combat units and a peasant on one of your caravels and go to the north of the two little islands to get the first navigation chart.
- 17Collect two treasure items on these islands; one triggers another objective.
- 18Send everyone to the neighboring island, clear it of Native Americans, outlaws, and jaguars, and collect three treasure items.
- 19Return to your main island with everyone on the caravel.
- 20Wait for six or seven free ships.
- 21Send the ships north to kill treasure guardians and peasants on the tiny island at the edge of the map.
- 22Send ships south to the tip of the big island and destroy the two docks (one is to the west). Park your ships here to prevent pirates from building new docks.
- 23Build an army of over fifty strong, including three or four mortars, a couple of priests, hoop throwers, crossbowmen, and lancers.
- 24Send the army on caravels to the beach at the bottom of the pirates' island.
- 25Pick up treasure to the west and the second covered wagon.
- 26Build one or two unit production buildings.
- 27Check the beach for any new land units dropped by free ships.
- 28Launch a quick attack on pirates to the north-east to recover the second chart.
- 29Build one of each building on the new island if not confident in defeating pirates with the current army.
- 30Build up a decent army.
Tips
- You don't need to build your own ships; let your towers handle pirate attacks.
- Don't build your second town centre on the north island.
- Upgrading everything and waiting for free ships is a viable strategy.
- The extra ships can prevent pirates from building new docks.
