Complete Age of Empires III Part 10 walkthrough: Kill Delgado for 1000 XP and capture six treasure ships to win the level.
Walkthrough
- 1Destroy the fort with your mortar to gain a third ship.
- 2Head north-east, then west along the north edge of the map.
- 3Destroy the next tower, targeting any Spanish units with a falconet.
- 4Proceed west through the gap in the walls to find another tower to the south and a barracks and prison to the north.
- 5Open the prison, kill the canine guards, then destroy the tower and barracks while fending off Spanish units. Keep your wagon at the rear of your troops.
- 6Continue west to the next tower guarding the fourth ship. Destroy it and claim the ship.
- 7Move south-west, destroy the next tower, and kill any remaining Spanish units to obtain your fifth ship. You should now have five ships and a lot of gold.
- 8To get the sixth ship: Take your units to the east coast and board ships. Sail around the south curve of the sea and land your units on the tiny island where the westernmost ship is, guarded by a tower. Destroy the tower with your land units before your ships are destroyed. This wins the level.
- 9Alternatively, to attack Delgado by land: Choose a suitable spot to build a town in the east. Build a few towers and falconets for base defense.
- 10Build a large army, including four mortars, four falconets, and many shipped units, crossbowmen, and pikemen. Upgrade everything and fill your population to at least 110, including twenty peasants.
- 11Destroy the second fort in the south before attacking Delgado's main base. It is surrounded by walls but lightly guarded and can be destroyed by mortars with protection from other units.
- 12Send your army north-west over the swamp and attack Delgado's main base buildings with mortars. Avoid destroying towers before Delgado is killed, as capturing the sixth ship wins the level.
Tips
- You can win the level by capturing six ships without placing a building, which is efficient from a gold perspective.
- If building a base, ensure you have adequate defenses like towers and falconets.
- Upgrade all units and reach a population of at least 110 for the land assault.
3.1.8 THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH?
Morgan, Lizzie, and Sahin press on to the Lake of the Moon. Has Alain betrayed the Knights of St. John?
Walkthrough
- 1Send all starting units up the hill to the east. Do not move your fire ships.
- 2As you approach the fixed gun, it will fire, doing significant damage. Quickly kill the guards near it.
- 3You will gain control of the gun, and your covered wagon will arrive.
- 4Plant your town center west of the orange walls, against the edge of the map.
- 5Ship in military units (mortar and falconets if available) and build peasants for resourcing to the west, where it is safe.
- 6Use your new gun to clear out the nearest orange buildings. Build one or two galleons from the dock.
- 7Ensure your gun destroys the two orange towers within its reach. Move the rest of your army to just outside the gates until your gun has cleared most of the westernmost buildings.
- 8While your gun attacks the orange base, bring any ships you have to the small beach south-west of the gun. Keep all ships here except one fire ship, which should be used to defend your dock from potential Spanish attacks.
- 9As your army destroys the orange base, you will encounter Boneguards and Circle goons. Boneguards will stop coming when the orange base is nearly destroyed, but reds will periodically attack from the north.
- 10The Circle will attack from the west around the time you are destroying the orange buildings near the Boneguard's northern gate. They will drop lamers off on transports to capture the cannon. If your ships are positioned correctly, they will help defend against this.
Tips
- Keep your fire ship near the dock to defend against potential Spanish attacks.
- Position your ships south-west of the fixed gun to protect it and defend the beach.
