Master 'The Walls Have Eyes' Time Attack challenge in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition! Learn strategies for Dunban, enemy waves, and S-Rank tips.

Alright, let's tackle the 'The Walls Have Eyes' challenge! This one's a Time Attack mode mission where you'll be controlling Dunban. It's rated 1 out of 4 difficulty-wise, and the reward is the Festival Set. Don't underestimate it though, especially if you're aiming for that S-Rank!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Wave 1: You'll start off with Dunban facing three Lv 30 Colony Upas and a Lv 31 Mechon M32X. Your main target here is definitely the Mechon. Remember, your allies can only deal damage to Mechon if you Topple it first. For this fight, keep Dunban's Peerless Aura active as much as possible; it's super useful for Time Attack.
  2. 2
Wave 2: Next up, you'll face a Lv 31 Materia Krabble and two Lv 32 Mechon M53X. Your first move should be to take out the Krabble. Once it's down, you'll just have the Mechon left. Keep using Gale Slash before you unleash Dunban's other chaining attacks, and whenever Blossom Dance is ready, go all out on the enemy.
  3. 3
Wave 3: Head further south to find the final wave. This one has four Lv 30 Colony Lizards and a Lv 35 Mechon M64X. This Mechon is your top priority. You'll need to use Peerless and Dunban's Topple ability extensively to bring it down. Once the Mechon is toppled, dealing with the Lizards should be a breeze.
Tips for S-Rank
  • If you're really pushing for an S-Rank, you'll want to ignore Chain Attacks. Seriously, the time it takes to execute them just isn't worth the damage output, especially considering Sharla's role in this fight. Focus on efficient combos and Toppling instead.
  • Always keep Dunban's Peerless Aura up whenever it's available. It's crucial for maintaining damage and survivability.
  • Don't forget to use Gale Slash before your other chaining attacks. This sets up Dunban's Topple combo nicely.
  • Remember the core mechanic: you need to inflict Topple on Mechon so your allies can actually deal damage to them.
