Return to Tephra Cave

A New Destination: After the opening cutscenes, you'll be outside Colony 9. Gem Crafting becomes available; visit the Gem Man's Stall in Colony 9 to learn the basics. You'll also receive new quests in Colony 9.

Overworked and Underpaid: Speak with Giorgio in Ether Light, Colony 9. Shulk has a vision of Giorgio collapsing. You have two routes:

• Route A: Convince Giorgio yourself. He needs 3 bits of Fresh Armu Milk. Marcia (in the same area as Giorgio, 09:00-18:00) has some, or you can hunt Baby Armus (levels 8-10) on the coast north and west of Colony 9. Reward: HP Up II Gem. This route does not improve his relationship with his daughter, Paola.

Route B: Consult his daughter, Paola (around the Gem Man's Stall, 06:00-18:00). She needs 3 Insanity Mints from Tephra Cave. Gather them and return to Paola, then Giorgio. Reward: Ether Def Up II Gem.

Flattened Flowers: In Tranquil Square, Residential District, Colony 9, Françoise is upset about her trampled flowers. Collect 5 Dawn Hydrangeas from around Colony 9 and return them to her.

After Flattened Flowers: Speak to Arnaut. He asks about Françoise.

• Choosing “You should ask her yourself” results in their Affinity Chart link changing to “Happily Married” after Arnaut speaks to Françoise.

Choosing “She’s doing fine” results in their Affinity Chart link changing to “Near Divorce” after Arnaut speaks to Françoise.

Education-Crazy Suzanna: Find Suzanna in the Residential District during the day. She needs 2 pieces of Heavy Bunniv Iron from Tephra Cave for her son, Moritz, to use as weights for studying. Obtain these by defeating Iron Bunniv or the Mining Patrichev Unique Monster. Return to Suzanna.

Paola and Narine: Accept this quest from Narine in Tranquil Square. It requires high Affinity between Shulk and Reyn and is for later in the game.

Mementos of a Lost Son: Visit Cheryl during the day on the upper level of Ether Light near the Gem Man's Stall. She asks you to find three items that remind her of her son, the first of which is in Tephra Cave.

Liliana’s Sincere Request: Find Liliana outside Dunban’s House during the day. She needs an item from the back of the cave at Agora Shore, guarded by the Lv 40 Gentle Rodriguez. You can defeat it or use an aggro-and-dash strategy: aggro the monster, run away, and when it returns to its spot, dash in to grab the item as it turns away. Return the item to Sonia, then speak to Liliana.
