Embark on 'The Scream' quest in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader's Void Shadows DLC. Learn how to start it, investigate the Astropathic Station VX-02-537, and secure the Denial of Nightmares relic.

Alright, so you've been playing through Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and you're looking to dive into some of the side content in the Void Shadows DLC. 'The Scream' is one of those quests that can be a little easy to miss if you're not paying attention, and it's only available while you're in the Rykad system. If you've already finished Act 1, you'll need to reload an earlier save or start a new game to catch it. It's not the most involved or rewarding quest, but hey, it's more content!

To get started, just complete any main quest in the Rykad system. Once that's done, fly around the system for a bit with your voidship. Eventually, Zacchary Weisz, your Choirmaster, will contact you. He's picked up this disturbing scream coming from Astropathic Station VX-02-537. Apparently, it's messing with the Immaterium so badly that your Astropaths can't get any messages from outside the Rykad system. So, you'll need to agree to go check out the station.

Investigate the Astropathic Station

Once you've got the quest, you'll need to head over to Astropathic Station VX-02-537. When you interact with it, you'll be presented with a few choices. Now, some of these options will just end the quest without much fanfare, like 'Burn everything' or 'Seal the station' – you'll get some EXP, but it's not the most satisfying conclusion. If you choose 'Order the station to be explored' or 'Order that the man be put out of his misery,' nothing really productive happens.

The best path here is to pick the [Lore (Warp)] option. This will send Zacchary Weisz himself to investigate. If you go this route, you'll get some extra EXP, and more importantly, Zacchary will bring back the Denial of Nightmares amulet. This is a pretty neat trinket for any psykers in your party, as it makes them immune to the Horrors of the Warp effect. It's a decent bonus, especially when you're facing down daemons.

After Zacchary's little expedition, you can then choose to either destroy the station or just leave it to its fate. Either way, you'll snag a bit more EXP. So, in short, it's a pretty straightforward dialogue-heavy quest that rewards you with a nice relic and some bonus experience if you handle it right.
