Learn how to recruit Jae in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Follow our guide to find her on The Marty's Endurance, complete her quest, and make her a valuable companion.

After visiting the Liege, you'll find him and Jae discussing an awkward situation. Following this, Jae departs, leaving you with no clear indication of her whereabouts. Continue your business in Footfall with the Liege and navigate through the subsequent gang ambushes as usual.

Once the ambushes are concluded, you can re-explore Footfall. The station offers several areas to visit, with numerous main and side quests located in the Shadow district. Explore the Shadow District and proceed north on the map. This path leads to another level where you'll discover The Marty’s Endurance, a converted Voidship now inhabited by Thugs, Refugees, and a bar where Jae can be found.

Upon entering the ship, locate the bar in the upper right section of the vessel. You'll find Jae at the bar, lamenting her failed deal with the Liege. After the cutscene, you can speak with Jae and, if you choose, agree to help her retrieve her cargo.

You will need to fight through gang members, stun grenades, and servitors in a large, toxic-filled room.

If you accept, you'll be tasked with meeting Jae at the Warehouse in the Shadow District. There, you must defeat a gang of thugs. Be cautious, as numerous Acid barrels pose a threat to melee combatants, and many thugs utilize Stun Grenades. Avoid grouping your units at the start to prevent multiple units from being stunned simultaneously.

Defeat the enemies and deliver the shipment to Jae. However, the Liege’s men will appear, demanding Jae's imprisonment for shipping Xeno artifacts. You have several options: protect her, sentence her to death, hand her over and defend your involvement, or openly declare your investment in her activities. Regardless of your choice, rumors, rewards, and consequences will unfold throughout the game. For the purpose of this guide, it's recommended to ally with her and declare the cargo as the Rogue Trader’s supply.

Recruiting Jae grants a Profit Factor increase of 2. She functions as a Leader, with starting stats favoring Aeldari and Drukhari weaponry, and fits the Master Tactician role. After recruitment, she may request a private meeting regarding her companion quest. Returning to the ship and speaking with her yields two additional space elf weaponry items, suitable for dual-wielding by Jae or an Assassin like Marazhai. She also offers a faction reputation boost of 2000.

Be aware that after recruiting Jae, you may face hunts from rival Traders, leading to challenging voidship battles. If this occurs early in the game, consider lowering the difficulty to Story mode to avoid a difficult experience.

Note that some of your companions, specifically Abelard, Pascal, and Heinrix, may disapprove of Jae's presence due to her background as a Cold Trader.
