8) Walkthrough - Chapter 2

Artolia - Recruit Lawfer (Normal and Hard only): Travel to Artolia and recruit Lawfer. He does not appear in Easy mode.

Hai Lan - Recruit Nanami (may occur in Chapter 3 or 4 instead): Nanami may appear in Hai Lan. If recruited, return to Hai Lan to receive the Dragonbane weapon from Minayo in the Pleiades Shrine.

Hai Lan - Recruit Jun (may occur in Chapter 3 or 4 instead): Jun may appear in Hai Lan. Recruit him.

Crell Monferaigne - Recruit Janus (may occur in Chapter 3 or 4 instead): Janus may appear in Crell Monferaigne. Recruit him, then return to his house to obtain a Raven Slayer.

Hai Lan - Recruit Yumei (may occur in Chapter 3 or 4 instead): Yumei may appear in Hai Lan. Recruit her, then return to Hai Lan's seashore to get a Fragment of Lapis Gem.

Items Found: Eye of Heaven, Lapis Lazuli x2, Fire Storm, Short Spear, Frigid Damsel, Fox Glove x2, Element Scepter, Nightshade, Quartz Gem, Vegetable Seed, Long Sword, Savory, Aconite, Slanting Rain, Spear "Dark Angel", Scarlet Lotus Sword.

Navigation: Follow a specific path involving ladders, drops, and climbing crystals to find items. The path includes going left, down, left (Eye of Heaven), then right, jumping off a ladder, left, down, left, down, right to the rear. From there, go left (Lapis Lazuli, Fire Storm), right, right, right, right, up, left, left (Short Spear, Frigid Damsel). Return right, right, down, left, left, left. Use crystals to climb top left (Foxglove, Element Scepter), right, up, right (Nightshade, Lapis Lazuli), left, drop down, down, right (Quartz Gem, Vegetable Seed, Long Sword). Go left, drop down (Savory), right, right, right, right, save, right, down, left (Foxglove, Aconite, Slanting Rain), right, right.

Boss: Lesser Dragon. Weaknesses include Lightning, Holy, and Poison. The Grimrist sword or Dragon Slayer sword can defeat it in one shot. Drops Spear "Dark Angel" and Scarlet Lotus Sword.

Items Found: Shadow Servant x2, Holy Crystal x2, Cure Condition, Short Spear, Quartz Gem, Daemon Slayer, Flare Baselard, Charge, Wait Reaction, Eye of Heaven, Element Scepter, Bark of the Dryad, Inscribed Fragment.

Navigation: Go up (Shadow Servant), left (Shadow Servant), up (Holy Crystal), down, right, down, down, down, left, left, down to find Cure Condition, Short Spear, Quartz Gem, Daemon Slayer, and Flare Baselard (some hidden underwater, press X to pick up, Circle to set down). Go up, right, right, slash tree and jump on it for a ride right (Charge skill). Go up (Holy Crystal, Wait Reaction, Eye of Heaven, Element Scepter), down, down, left, down, and drop down (one-way trip).

Boss: Dragon Zombie. Physical attacks are ineffective unless using Sap Guard. Use Holy Crystals or the Dragon Slayer sword. Drops Bark of the Dryad and Inscribed Fragment.

Items Found: Slanting Rain, Eye of Heaven, Icicle Edge, Element Scepter, Flame Jewel, Holy Grail, Faim Fenn, Tiara of the Holy Empress.

Puzzle: This area has a timed puzzle. Follow steps precisely. Cut vines, go down, down, left. Walk in water (smell cloud appears). Go right, up, cut vines, walk right, down (Slanting Rain), right. Go to vat, press X for Strong Acid. Go left, down, right (Eye of Heaven), left. Walk through vine with red flowers, press X, pour acid. Go back right, up, right for more acid. Go left, down, left (walk by yellow flower for scent). Go right, take first passage up, walk through yellow vine (do not use acid), examine body for third scent. Go up, right, down, right, up. Walk through blue vine, use acid. Go back down, down, left (touch yellow flower again).
