18) Endings

Guide to achieving all endings in Valkyrie Elysium: Learn how to get the A, B, and C endings by managing your Evaluation and Seal Rating through specific choices and actions.

This guide details how to achieve the different endings in Valkyrie Elysium: the C ending, B ending, and A ending. Each ending is tied to specific in-game conditions related to your character's Evaluation and Seal Rating.

C Ending:

To achieve the C ending, your Evaluation must be very low. The easiest method is to repeatedly use the 'Rest' option on the status screen after leaving the Artolian Ruins until your Evaluation drops to zero. Then, enter and exit any dungeon. Freya will appear and berate you, leaving you with 1 Evaluation point. Repeat the process of resting until your Evaluation is zero, then entering and exiting a dungeon. Freya will return and attack. Defeating her results in the same outcome as losing to her, leading to the C ending.

B Ending:

The B ending is obtained by reaching the end of Chapter 8 without triggering either the C ending (low Evaluation) or the A ending (specific requirements met). Proceed to Jotunheim Palace as described in section 14. After defeating Surt, you will receive the B ending.

A Ending:

Achieving the A ending requires fulfilling several conditions, and it cannot be obtained in Easy mode. The following steps must be met:

• Finish the Tower of Lezard Valeth in Chapter 4.
• Recruit Mystina and Lucian in Chapter 5.
• Transfer Lucian to Valhalla in either Chapter 5 or 6.
• Your Seal Rating must be 37 or less during Chapter 7.

To manage your Seal Rating:

• In Chapter 4, transfer a character at the beginning of the chapter.
• Complete Lezard's Tower.
• Remove Valkyrie's Nibelung Ring before the end of Chapter 4 and do not re-equip it until Chapter 7. You can wear it in dungeons but must remove it before the Sacred Phase.
• To reduce your Seal Rating, visit Lucian in Gerabellum (-15 Seal Rating), visit Weeping Lily Meadow (-15 Seal Rating), and meet Brahms in Brahms Castle (-10 Seal Rating). These can be done in earlier chapters but are best done here for control. It does not matter if you fight Brahms or decline.
• In Chapter 5, recruit Mystina and Lucian. You can transfer one additional character in Chapter 5 or 6 (not both) without negatively impacting your Seal Rating, provided you check it. Often, Yumei can be recruited in Chapter 5 and Lucian in Chapter 6.
• If your Seal Rating is 37 or less after the Chapter 6-7 Sacred Phase, a special scene will occur at the start of Chapter 7. Otherwise, the scene triggers when your Seal Rating drops to 37 during Chapter 7. After this scene, you are safe to proceed, but avoid letting your Evaluation drop to zero.
• In Chapter 8, Spiritual Concentration will reveal an event at Weeping Lily Meadow. Visit this location to initiate the A ending sequence. You will not be able to return to the World Map, so complete all other desired activities first. If you do not visit Weeping Lily Meadow, the game will proceed to the B ending sequence at the end of Chapter 8.

• Visit Lucian in Gerabellum: -15
• Visit Weeping Lily Meadow: -15
• Meet Brahms in his castle: -10
• Defeat Lezard Valeth in his Tower: -15
• Recruit Mystina: -15

• Recruit any other characters: -2
• Not wearing the Nieblung Ring in the Sacred Phase: -2
