11) Chapter 5 Walkthrough

Villnore - Recruit Badrach: Badrach may appear here. After recruiting him, visit the graveyard in Camille Village to obtain the Handwoven Bandanna. (Recruitment may also occur in Chapter 6).

Hai Lan - Recruit Shiho: Shiho may appear here. Recruit her if she is present. .

Flenceburg - Recruit Mystina: (Normal and Hard difficulty only). Mystina appears here if you completed the Tower of Lezard Valeth in Chapter 4. After recruiting her, find the Infinity Rod in her room in Flenceburg.

Gerabellum - Recruit Lucain: (Normal and Hard difficulty only). Lucian appears here. Recruit him.

Arkdain Ruins (All difficulties):

Navigation: This dungeon is short but features many treasure chests guarded by monsters. Follow the path: Right (Raptor's Claw), Right (Sap Power), Right (Stun Magic), Up (Ranseur), Up-Left (Ether Scepter, Sap Guard), Down (Dark), Up, Right, Down, Left, Down (Nightshade). Create a crystal to jump up-Right (Resist Magic, Eye of Heaven). Continue Right, Right (Stun Check), Right, Up (Darkness Arrow, Estoc, Vegetable Seed). Go Down, Right, Down-Left (Ether Scepter, Resist Damage, Lapis Lazuli). Continue Right, Up-Left, Left, drop down and exit Up, Up, Right (Quartz Gem, Sap Power, Savory). Kill monsters to exit the room.
Reaching the Upper Platform:
Method 1 (Ladder): Shoot a large crystal under the left platform so it sticks out. Climb the ladder halfway and jump onto the crystal.
Method 2 (No Ladder): Place a large crystal on the floor, add two crystal chunks on top. Shoot straight up to form a large crystal under the platform. Shoot it a third time to turn it into dust. Jump on the dust to reach the platform.
Continue Left (Beast Slayer, Sap Guard), Right. Jump over the save point to reach Combo Jewel and Daemon Slayer. Go Right to fight three Raver Lords (Stun/Mighty checks are helpful). After defeating them, you receive the Holy Wand "Adventia", Robe of Bryttain, and Star Guard. A Mighty Check is behind the girl in the crystal. Leave the girl for now.
Recruit Grey: Grey may appear in the Arkdain Ruins. Recruit him if available. .

Citadel of Flame (Hard difficulty only):
Enemies: Beetle Giant (HP: 5000, Weak: Ice, Drop: Nightshade, Aconite), Rib Forager (HP: 6800, Weak: None, Drop: Estoc, Footman's Axe), Necrophiliac (HP: 6000, Weak: Poison, Drop: Mystic Cross, Lightning Bolt), Fire Elemental (HP: 15200, Weak: Ice, Drop: Sap Power, Lightning Bolt), Gelatinous Ooze (HP: 7500, Weak: None, Drop: Iron Ore, Foxglove), Figment (HP: 3500, Weak: Ice, Drop: Fire Lance, Sap Guard), Fire Elemental (HP: 36000, Weak: Ice, Drop: Bracelet of Zoe).
Items: Eye of Heaven, Shadow Servant, Soul Slayer, Dark Savior, Ghoul Powder, Estoc, Stone Torch, Ranseur, Flame Jewel, Eternal Lamp, Infernas, Holy Water of Mithra.
Strategy: Icicle Swords are highly recommended for this dungeon, as they can defeat most enemies and the boss in one hit.
Navigation: The first room contains an Eye of Heaven, but it's difficult to reach due to fireballs. Carefully move right, avoiding and slashing fireballs. In the next room, use a "crystal bounce" to cross to the right and get the Shadow Servant spell. Go Down to find a Soul Slayer and a machine with a floating orb; press X to activate it. Go Up, crystal bounce, and take the new exit Up. In this room, find a Dark Savior spell, Ghoul Powder, Estoc, and Stone Torch. Use crystal bounces three times to cross platforms at the top. Go Up. This room contains a Ranseur and a Flame Jewel (left side, use a crystal to reach it). The exit is in the middle, on a hard-to-reach platform. Create a dust cloud on the platform's edge to use as a step. You gain Event Experience for this. Go Up, Left, Down, Down, activate the machine on the left, take the new passage Up, save your game, and go Up. Pick up the pot on the left with X, throw it under the wall, and pick it up again (repeat as needed) to progress.
