The Synthesis lab on the Ark is where you'll upgrade and create new gear. This system is vital for progressing through higher difficulties.

Weapon Synthesis:

You can combine two weapons of the same type to create a stronger version. The base weapon's stats will be improved, and it might gain additional chip slots or elemental properties. The 'sacrificed' weapon's stats and any chips it had will contribute to the upgrade. Higher rarity weapons require more powerful 'sacrifices' for significant upgrades.

Chip Synthesis:

Combine multiple lower-tier chips to create a single, more powerful chip. For example, combining three 'Attack Up (S)' chips might yield one 'Attack Up (M)' chip. This is essential for consolidating your chip inventory and creating potent enhancements.

Blueprint Crafting:

Once you find a Blueprint, you can craft the corresponding weapon or item at the Synthesis lab, provided you have the necessary crafting materials. Blueprints often unlock unique or powerful gear not found as regular drops.

Crafting Materials:

These are obtained from defeated enemies, supply crates, and mission rewards. They come in various types (e.g., Energon Shards, Cybertronian Alloys, Rare Earth Elements) and rarities. Always keep a stock of common materials, as they are used for most basic upgrades.
