How to Beat Megatron

Conquer Megatron in Transformers: Devastation. Master strategies for his robot and tank modes, and counter his fusion mace and cannon attacks.

Megatron is the final boss, a formidable opponent with multiple phases, each more challenging than the last. He combines powerful melee, ranged, and special abilities.

Phases & Attacks:

1. Robot Mode (Phase 1): Megatron uses fast, heavy melee combos with his fusion mace and fires energy blasts from his fusion cannon.
2. Tank Mode (Phase 2): He transforms into a tank, gaining increased armor, powerful cannon blasts, and a devastating charge attack.
3. Dark Spark Empowered (Phase 3): He reverts to robot mode, now glowing with purple energy. He gains enhanced versions of his previous attacks, new area-of-effect energy blasts, and is more aggressive.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

• Phase 1 (Robot Mode): Focus on dodging his melee combos and parrying his heavy attacks. When he fires his fusion cannon, dodge sideways. Counter-attack during his recovery frames.
• Phase 2 (Tank Mode): Stay mobile. Use your vehicle mode to circle him rapidly and attack his rear for critical damage. Dodge his cannon blasts and evade his charge attack.
• Phase 3 (Dark Spark Empowered): This is the toughest phase. His new attacks are highly damaging. Patience is key. Prioritize dodging and only attack during clear openings. Parrying his enhanced melee attacks is crucial for creating significant damage windows. Use your most powerful special attacks when he's stunned or vulnerable. Conserve healing items for this phase.
• Character Choice: Optimus Prime is a strong choice for his balanced stats, but Grimlock's raw power can also be effective if you can land hits.

Rewards:

Defeating Megatron completes the game and unlocks new difficulty modes, as well as providing the highest tier of legendary weapons and chips.
