You cannot use lethal force on the first guard; doing so will fail the mission. Grab the guard and use him as a shield with the left thumbstick. Tap 'X' to aim the pistol at a secondary target or against the guard's head. Move the guard to a dark area and press the right trigger to knock him out.

You have the option to lure the guard with a whistle (black button) and KO him, but it's better to sneak past. If you KO him, hide the body to avoid raising alarm.

Wait for the guard to turn his back and move away. Proceed up the stream and under the bridge. If the guard hears something, continue moving; he will scan the area you just passed.

Continue to the large paddle wheel. Look back and use binoculars to find the guard. When he is on the opposite side of the bridge and out of sight, move up the embankment. Crouch next to the palm tree and look left.

There is a guard sitting on a box with his back to you. Stay out of the light on the ground to your left and move along the embassy wall to your right. Another Save point loads.

Lambert will state that terrorists are preparing to kill hostages. Sam must interrogate a guard, identified as one of Sadono's top lieutenants. Move slowly behind the seated guard, grab him, and press 'A' to interrogate. Move him into the dark area to the left during interrogation.

After interrogation, KO the guard. Crouch down; another guard may be wandering near the box where the lieutenant was. This guard will enter the adjacent building.

After a few seconds, use the Optic Cable (OC) on the door. The guard inside will be sitting with his back to the door, watching TV. You can KO him for practice or bypass him easily. Move to the flaming barrel and climb the pipe to the right.
