Chapter 1 - The Price of Freedom

After your three-year prison term, return to Morning Glory Orphanage in Okinawa and speak to all the children for an update on Haruka's whereabouts.

Use the phone in the dining room to call Akiyama in Kamurocho, but this yields no results.

Travel to Kamurocho and proceed towards the Serena building on Tenkaichi St.

Speak with Date, who informs you he has not seen Haruka or Akiyama.

Go to Akiyama's office on the back side of the Serena building to confirm his absence.

The barrier blocking Tenkaichi Alley will be removed; head east to Nakamichi St. for a tutorial fight.

After the fight, you will gain access to explore Kamurocho freely, including Minigames, food places, and six Substories, plus five more connected to the hostesses at the Cabaret Club.

Head to New Serena and speak with the mama-san, who has no useful information.

Go to Bantam, east of Millennium Tower, and speak to the man outside. He suggests checking Little Asia.

If playing the demo, you will be cut off here. In the full game, proceed to the south entrance of Little Asia.

Witness a meeting and then defeat a group of Triad punks harassing you in Little Asia. Use environmental weapons if needed.

Return to Sky Finance.

As you approach the alley to the New Serena Building, confront the Triad thugs.

They will escort you to a party; defeat them and untie the captured man.

He reveals Akiyama is in Children's Park with homeless individuals.

Go to Children's Park and speak to a homeless man who will give information about Akiyama in exchange for a bento.

Purchase a bento from the nearby Poppo (east of Millennium Tower).

Return to the homeless man and give him the bento.

Head down the manhole and through the sewer passage to find Akiyama in a shelter.

After learning Akiyama doesn't know Haruka's location, you will be attacked by Ed, your first proper boss fight, accompanied by four Triad thugs.

Defeat the thugs before focusing on Ed. Akiyama will assist; try to keep him alive.

Utilize quick-time events (QTEs) to deplete Ed's health.

When Ed uses his Heat and charges, dodge and attack him when he stops.

After the fight, Date will call; Haruka is at Touto Hospital.

Take the nearest taxi to Touto Hospital.
