To the Southern Swamp

Your friendly guide to navigating the Southern Swamp in Majora's Mask 3D. Learn how to find Tingle, grab a Piece of Heart, and get ready for the Swamp Shooting Gallery.

Alright, let's head south from Clock Town! As soon as you leave, Tatl will chime in, and then you'll enter a new area. Keep an eye out, because Tingle will appear. You'll want to shoot him down from a distance – don't worry, it's harmless. Once he's on the ground, you can buy the Map of Woodfall from him. If you've got some extra Rupees lying around and want to be prepared, you can also grab the Map of Snowhead now, though it's not essential for this area.

Now, remember that tree you passed on your way to Tingle? There's a Piece of Heart waiting for you at the very top of it! To get there, you'll need to put on your Deku Mask. Head back to the tree and you'll see some Bad Bats hanging around. Blast them with your Deku Nuts to clear the way before you start climbing the vines. Once they're gone, climb all the way to the top – your reward is waiting!

You'll notice a Swamp Shooting Gallery and a Fishing Hole on the east side of this zone. We'll be coming back here later for some fun, so just make a mental note of its location for now.
