Ancient Castle of Ikana

Castle Shortcut: Soar to the Ikana Canyon Owl Statue, go east, and enter the hole left of the castle doors. Hit the Crystal Switch and reflect light onto the Sun Block for a shortcut.

Inside the Castle: Enter the castle near the save point. Wear the Garo Mask, Gibdo Mask, or Captain's Hat to pacify ReDeads. Defeat them, melt the Frozen Eyes, and exit north.

Checkerboard Room: Use the Deku Mask. Dive into Deku Flowers to avoid being squished. Hit the Crystal Switch, run to the Deku Flower, and fly to the platform. Take off the mask on the floor switch to open the door. Exit east.

Spikes and Skulltulas Room: Follow the invisible ice platform or use Deku Flowers to reach the floor switch. Shoot down Skulltulas and leap between platforms, or use Deku Flowers.

To the Rooftop: Defeat the Blue Bubbles in the hallway. Head to the rooftop, defeat Guays, and climb the outer wall. Drop to the Deku Flower, fly to the floor switch, and take off the Deku Mask. Return to the castle rooftop.

Piece of Heart #44: From the rooftop, shoot the Crystal Switch. Leap to the Deku Flower on the pillar, fly to the next, and then to the final pillar to collect the Piece of Heart.

Floormaster Room: Re-enter the castle, using a mask for ReDeads. Go south to find the Floormaster. Reflect light onto it, then onto the Sun Block. Defeat ReDeads and enter the Mini-Boss Room.

Mini-Boss: Wizrobe: Fight the Wizrobe using the Goron Mask. Roll and Fire Punch the real Wizrobe. After defeating it, continue through the next room to the rooftop.

The King of Ikana: Place a Powder Keg on the dent on the roof. After the explosion, defeat the ReDeads and shine light on the Sun Block. Shoot curtains with Fire Arrows to battle the Kingsguard Skeletons. Use the Mirror Shield to reflect light onto defeated Skeletons. Repeat for the second Skeleton.

King of Ikana Battle: Use the Captain's Hat. Use Quick Spinning Attacks or counter his strikes. Avoid his head-detaching attack by running with the Bunny Hood. Use Double Cutters with the Zora Mask or Quick Spinning Attacks to counter Poison Breath.

Reward: After defeating the King, you will learn the Elegy of Emptiness. Exit the castle back to Ikana Canyon.
