Complete Part 29 of The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, including strategies for the truck disguise, forcefield trap, and regulator retrieval.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate three military trucks in the supply depot next to the Badlands town, guarded by four Hulkbuster Infantry mechs and a Howitzer.
- 2Draw out the mechs first, as they are faster and more aggressive.
- 3Take out the Howitzer while it is behind the base wall, concentrating on one Hulkbuster at a time.
- 4Once all initial enemies are defeated, deal with the approaching Comanche.
- 5Grab a truck and proceed into the canyon.
- 6You can either follow Samson's plan by entering a yellow box to weaponize the truck into a disguise or break into the base as normal.
- 7If using the truck disguise, you can move through the base unmolested and bypass the forcefield, but you must exit the truck to pick up the part, which will then cause enemies to swarm you.
- 8If you attack the base's defenses without a disguise, you cannot retreat and retool, and Hulk cannot enter the base disguised if it is already on alert.
- 9Head to the forward base, which is protected by MRLS tanks, a Howitzer, and Hulkbuster Infantry.
- 10Concentrate on keeping the battle in the forward base area while taking out the first group and all non-respawning enemies, as MRLSes respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death).
- 11Smash the MRLS tanks again as necessary.
- 12A blue forcefield blocks the tunnel ahead. Grab a Missile Pack and leap onto the canyon wall, then jump and throw missiles at the antennas.
- 13If you used the disguise and are on the other side of the forcefield, you can walk up and smash the antennas directly.
- 14The base ahead is protected by Hulkbuster Infantry and Comanches; lure them out and fight them in the forward area.
- 15Wreck the MRLS trucks there again if needed.
- 16Proceed through the now-open tunnel.
- 17Inside the base, deal with two more MRLS tanks and numerous Hulkbuster Infantry.
- 18Once they are down, destroy the two Comanches that fly in.
- 19Deal with the respawning Missile Soldiers, then grab the regulator atop the airfield's control tower.
- 20Take the regulator back to the forward base and set it down.
- 21Clear out respawned MRLS and at least one more Hulkbuster.
- 22Retreat to the Restricted Area 102 Jump Marker, setting down the regulator again and fighting off respawning MRLSes and a Comanche.
- 23Return to the Church and drop the regulator off in the waiting yellow box. A checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) is reached.
- 24Jump back to the Last Chance Cafe and head into town to find the final part in an empty parking lot (marked by a yellow circle).
- 25Approaching the part will trigger a trap: a forcefield will go up, and Hulkbuster Infantry will swarm in.
- 26If trapped, use enemies and projectiles within the field to destroy its four antennas.
- 27Alternatively, bring a Missile Pack or a Ball and Chain (which allows striking through the forcefield) into the trap area.
- 28The best option is to trigger the field by damaging the part with thrown objects from outside, allowing a larger combat area.
- 29If outside the field, use hit-and-run tactics on the antennas, retreating when Hulkbusters get too close.
- 30If inside the field, defeat swarming Hulkbusters and quickly destroy the antennas.
- 31Once the field is down, take out as many respawning Hulkbusters as possible before grabbing the power regulator.
- 32Head for the Verdugo's Pass or Last Chance Cafe Jump Markers.
- 33If heading for the Last Chance Cafe, six Comanches will join the respawning Hulkbuster pursuit; prioritize escape over combat.
Tips
- The Hulkbuster Infantry mechs are faster and more aggressive after upgrades.
- The Howitzer can be taken out easily if it remains behind the base wall.
- Concentrate on one Hulkbuster at a time.
- If using the truck disguise, be prepared for enemies to swarm you once you exit the truck.
- MRLS tanks respawn, so focus on keeping the battle in the forward base area initially.
- If you are already on the other side of the blue forcefield due to a disguise, you can smash the antennas directly.
- The number of Hulkbuster Infantry inside the base is finite.
- When retrieving the regulator, you will need to clear out respawned enemies in the forward base.
- The final part retrieval is a trap; be prepared for a forcefield and numerous Hulkbuster Infantry.
- Bringing a Missile Pack, Shield, or Ball and Chain can help deal with the forcefield trap.
- The best strategy for the forcefield trap is to trigger it from outside the designated area.
- Use combos and mastered moves to defeat hordes of enemies.
- Prioritize escape over combat when pursued by Comanches and respawning Hulkbusters after grabbing the regulator.
