Learn movement, combat, and character details for The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Master charge moves and Critical Mass.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Maintain speed by hitting the ground after jumps. You can jump off walls, buildings, and vehicles. Hulk automatically jumps out of water. Running is also effective, especially wall-running.
  2. 2
Use the Grab button to pick up objects. These can be used for ground-surfing on a Hulk Shield or hang gliding with a gorilla balloon. Grabbed objects also serve as projectiles, clubs, and weapons.
  3. 3
Hold down a button to perform Charge Moves. Release when Hulk is fully glowing for increased damage on smashes and higher jumps. Charge Moves are key to completing many levels.
  4. 4
Press the Select button when standing still and not holding a club to make Hulk roar, intimidating foes and the populace. This has no other gameplay use.
  5. 5
Enter Critical Mass when Hulk has more life than his meter can hold or is one or two hits from death (Adrenaline Rush). In this state, all moves deal more damage, and you can use special Critical Mass Moves. Using these moves consumes Critical Mass energy and can cause you to exit this state. Getting hurt also ends Critical Mass. Perform Critical Mass Moves quickly once available.
  6. 6
Access Cheat Codes from the Main Menu's Extras section. View them in the Hints section to unlock alternate costumes, extra life and damage, more smash points, and other bonuses.

  • Charge Moves are essential for both combat effectiveness and level progression.
  • Critical Mass provides a significant power boost; utilize its special moves strategically.
  • Cheat Codes offer fun ways to alter gameplay and unlock content.

The Cast:

Good Guys:

  • Bruce Banner/The Hulk: You are a genius scientist with anger issues, transforming into a powerful green giant. You are an unstoppable force, controllable by hypnotic suggestion, and a source of immense fun.
  • Dr. Leonard Samson: Bruce Banner's only friend. A scientist who created a machine providing hypnotic suggestions to enable Hulk to perform complex missions beyond simple destruction. Voiced by Cam Clarke.

The Bad Guys and Others:

  • General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross: Commander of military forces, including US Army and Air Force, tasked with stopping Hulk's rampages. He controls Branson Military Base and its resources. His motivations include patriotic duty and preventing Bruce Banner from pursuing his daughter. Voiced by Cam Clarke.
  • Emil Blonsky/The Abomination: The primary antagonist. A government official leading The Division, dedicated to studying and neutralizing mutant threats. Blonsky becomes the Abomination, a larger and smarter version of the Hulk, as he gains Hulk-like abilities. Your battles with him will be legendary. Voiced by Ron Perlman.
  • Mercy: Blonsky's bodyguard and unrequited lover. A Gamma mutant controlled by Division via bionic implants, possessing telekinesis, teleportation, and mind-blasting powers. Voiced by Vanessa Marshall.
  • Devil Hulk: A sinister entity within Bruce Banner's mind, compelling Hulk towards greater destruction. The objective for most of the game is to find a way to defeat this entity before Banner loses control permanently. Voiced by Richard Moll. This entity is compared to a Goroistro Demon from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.
  • Random Pedestrians: Civilians found in levels, often screaming and running. They are targets for Hulk to pound and grab, creating chaos.
  • Ground Vehicles: Include cars, trucks, military trucks, ambulances, and buses. Most can be used as weapons like Steel Fists gloves or Hulk Shields, or as projectiles.
  • The Police: Responsible for law and order but outmatched by Hulk. They appear in early levels with pistols that pose no threat.
  • Division Soldiers: Basic enemies throughout the game, some armed with machine guns, others with missile launchers. They are not a significant threat; dodge their fire and attack them.
  • Tanks: More serious enemies. Includes the fast Bradley with a missile launcher and machine gun, and the slower Abrams with a more powerful cannon and machine gun. Tanks can knock you back with a charge, which is annoying but not damaging.
