Navigate the 'Open For Business' section of Thank Goodness You're Here! with our walkthrough, covering Jasper's Spanner, Screwdriver, and Hammer quests, plus achievements.
Walkthrough
- 1After freeing Charlie, return to Mother Megg’s Buttery Goods and slap Ronny to earn the 'Sick as a Fig' achievement.
- 2Jump down the hole Charlie made. As you pass through pipes, a commemorative plate will break after you pass underneath it four times.
- 3You'll arrive at Marge’s Chippie. Jasper needs his spanner, screwdriver, and hammer to fix the fryer.
- 4Jasper's Spanner:
- 5Head outside the Chippy and slap the trash bags and trash can to the left to find the singing mice [2/3].
- 6Go to the parking lot and hit the postbox [3/6].
- 7Go right to Price Shaggers. Reorganize the shelves by knocking everything over to get the 'A Fine Mess' achievement (missable).
- 8Go down Bumberly Cl, climb across trash and boxes, up a ladder and pole to the roof.
- 9Jump into the first chimney, spread soot inside the house, and exit through the window.
- 10In the garden, follow the hose to the well and jump down. Slap the right wall to reveal a tunnel.
- 11Follow the hose through the tunnel and ceiling to the fishmonger's shop.
- 12Turn on the sink to run water through the hose.
- 13Jump into the fish display and slap each fish until cigarettes appear to earn the 'Done up like a Kipper' achievement (missable).
- 14The second fish in the bottom row contains the spanner.
- 15Head to Sam's Ham shop next door and jump into the meat grinder.
- 16In the new area, head left to a trash blockade. Follow the houses left to find a postbox [4/6].
- 17Go down and left to the van food stall. Repeatedly slap the owner when the shop is open to work towards the 'Cheek to Cheek' achievement.
- 18Go up and slap the trash bags and trash can outside Rog's Veg Hole to find the last singing mice [3/3], unlocking 'The Rat Pack' achievement.
- 19Go down the street to Big Ron's Big Pies. To the left is the Oily Baps cart with a postbox [5/6] nearby.
- 20Return to Ron's. Since they have no meat, go to Sam's Ham the long way around due to the blocked road.
- 21In the garden, turn on the water to grow a tomato. Charlie will appear and leave through a hole in the fence. Follow him to the river bank.
- 22Cross the river bank to a roof. Jump on the cracked area to make a hole. Interact with the tree to talk to an owl (for 'Friend of the Forest' achievement).
- 23Head towards the two houses. Between them is a postbox [6/6], completing the 'No Post on Thuesdays' achievement.
- 24Open the white door to the right, go through, and climb the ladder to clean gutters. Jump on the gunk to return to the first area. Remember to visit Thumbitt Inn and hit the police box before jumping down the hole again to Marge's Chippie.
- 25Jasper's Screwdriver:
- 26Return to Jasper. Keri from Price Shaggers has his screwdriver.
- 27Go to Price Shaggers, which is infested with mice. Climb the shelves and push down the rat poison.
- 28A ceiling panel will fall; go up through it.
- 29Head left to a cardboard box guarded by a mouse. Jump over the hole and to the right, climbing cardboard boxes.
- 30Slap the cardboard wall to open a new room. Push the ball of cheese left to distract the mouse.
- 31Go through the door and jump to break through the floor behind the till.
- 32Follow Jasper back to the Chippie.
- 33Jasper's Hammer:
- 34Head past Price Beggars, up the ladder, through the chimney, and into the garden again. Before going down the well... (The source text cuts off here).
Tips
- Several achievements, including 'Sick as a Fig', 'A Fine Mess', 'Done up like a Kipper', 'Cheek to Cheek', 'The Rat Pack', and 'No Post on Thuesdays', are missable and tied to specific actions within this section. Ensure you complete them on your first visit to the relevant areas.
- Pay attention to the environmental interactions, such as slapping specific objects or people, as these are often key to unlocking achievements.
- The path through the pipes and the garden requires careful navigation and remembering routes for later use.
