Zaphias Revisited

After the scene, proceed forward down the very linear path. You will eventually reach a scene. Continue inside Zaphias Castle for another scene.

After the scene, go through the door at the northeast. Then continue to the right two more rooms to return to the prison you were in at the beginning of the game. Check the back of the cell on the right end of the room for a Transform Bow+1α and a Moon Guard. Go left back to the other room. Check the weapons against the stairs on the bottom floor of this room for a Capria. This weapon has the 'Special' skill and will allow Patty to use her Mystic Arte! Now climb the stairs and go back out to the left. In the next room, go north. Then continue north for a scene.

You can still recover your HP/TP on the far right side of this room like you did at the beginning of the game. Use it anytime you need it. You can speak to a person in the northwest corner to shop. I suggest you buy the best possible armor you can afford for Yuri in preparation for later. A save point has also appeared here.

Exit the room and go south to see a hallway leading to the left. Go down this hallway. In the next room, continue to the north to another room with a save point. I will refer to this important room as the Central Room. Behind the statue between the stairs is a Lapis Lazuli. Climb the stairs and go through the large door at the north end of the room. Continue north for a scene.

Open the chests here for a Spirit Bangle and an Elder Cloak. Examine the throne for a Mystic Mark. Examine the door at the north end of the room.

Go back to the Central Room. Go down to the second floor and enter the door to the east. Follow the path to a room to the north. Open the chests here for a Limit Bottle and Breaker Bow. Then shoot the statue with your ring.

Go back to the Central Room. Exit the room to the south. Then go west, south, then west. Then shoot the statue with your ring.

Back to the Central Room. On the second floor, go through the door to the west. Follow the path and open the chests for a Vagabond +1 and 15000 Gald. Then shoot the statue.

Back to the Central Room. Exit the room to the south. Then go east, south, east, then north. Shoot the statue.

Recover your HP/TP in the kitchen and run from anymore fights you get into.

Return to the Central Room one last time. Proceed north to the throne room and shoot the door behind the throne to open a path. Proceed forward. Save and then climb the ramp for a scene.

Secret Mission: Use 'Mother's Memento' during the second phase of the fight.

Note: Be sure to use a Magic Lens on both phases of this fight.

Strategy:

• The first part of the fight is simple. Estelle doesn't stand a chance against the combined might of your party. Just rush her down with your melee fighters while Raven heals and Rita casts. Not much else to say here. Reduce Estelle's HP to zero to enter the second phase of this fight.
• After the scenes, Estelle's HP will refill to maximum and you will have to battle her alone with Yuri. First, use the item, 'Mother's Memento,' to activate a scene and accomplish the Secret Mission. Then it's time to fight. The strategy here is to free run and lure her into attacking and countering once she is vulnerable. Be careful though. As she has a tendency to break out of your combos or shrug off your attacks to attack you right back. This can be very dangerous and drain your HP fast if she combos you. Don't hesitate to use items. I suggest keeping your HP at max at all times.
• The most dangerous part of this fight is when Estelle enters Over Limit, especially on higher difficulties. While she is in Over Limit, you will not be able to stun her and her spells will go off instantly. This will allow her to attack with powerful spells or heal, and there will be nothing you can do to stop her. On higher difficulties, being caught by one of her spells often means instant death. In order to survive, I suggest you keep an Over Limit Lv. 3 waiting. When she goes into Over Limit, get close to her and use you Over Limit Lv. 3 to knock her down. When she gets back up, immediately use your Mystic Arte to knock her down again. The goal is less about doing damage, and more about wasting as much of her time in Over Limit as you can. If you can survive her Over Limit state and pick your shots carefully, you should be able to bring Estelle down.

After the scenes, go north to a save point.

You can now walk around the castle and speak to all your party members. This place is big and it can take a fair bit of wandering to find everyone. So I'll tell you where they're at.

Go right from the save point to a new screen. Then south to a new screen. Then east two screens. Raven is laying inside his old jail cell from the beginning of the game. Go west from the jail and then north to find Estelle and Rita. From here, go down to the previous room. Then go left twice to find Patty in the castle entrance.
