Grade

Learn about the Grade system in Tales of Vesperia. Grade is refunded at the end of each run and can be spent in the Grade Shop on New Game +.

Grade is earned throughout your entire playthrough of Tales of Vesperia. This accumulated Grade is intended to be spent in the Grade Shop, a special shop you automatically enter when you begin a New Game + (a new playthrough after completing the game). In the Grade Shop, you can purchase bonuses for your subsequent runs, such as multipliers for Experience and Gald (in-game currency).

It is important to understand that Grade is not permanently spent. At the conclusion of each playthrough, any Grade you have spent is refunded to you. For instance, if you spend 3000 Grade before starting your second run and then earn an additional 4000 Grade during that second run, the initial 3000 Grade will be refunded at the start of your third run. This refunded Grade will stack with the 4000 you earned on your second run, giving you a total of 7000 Grade to spend on your third run.
