    Talk to the katz in Danann Highway, near the entrance to Empyrean's Throne, for the skit What's a Katz Towel, Meow? to obtain the Hot Spring Outfit (Rokurou).

    Teleport to Meirchio and approach Kamoana for the skit Orthie and Russ.

    Make your way to the top of Mt. Killaraus to find an event bubble near the Katz Box and enter the rift.

    After the skit An Unknown Place, head southeast to find the final Katz Box with the Fluffy Rollo for the Trophy/Achievement: Katz Person.

    Take the nearby warp. Follow the path north to the split and head east to the dead end with a Treasure Chest.

    Continue south, past the eastern exit, and check behind the rocks in the next room for a final Treasure Chest.

    Make your way to the top of Mt. Killaraus and enter another rift.

    Speak with the katz to obtain the Hot Spring Clothes (Laphicet).

    Extinguish the Flame of Malevolence by touching small thorns until none remain, then touch the large flame for a fight.

    After the fight, touch each of the three new black embers within the timer to engage in a fight and complete all three fights before the timer runs out. Touching any thorns that is not an ember will result in a time penalty.

    Once the Flame of Malevolence is extinguished, enter the portal to the north to find a katz that will offer services in exchange for katz spirits.

The Rules of the Heavenly Steppes:

The Heavenly Steppes consist of a Warp Point Room, a Randomly Generated Room (1 of 5 types), a Flames of Malevolence Room, and a Boss Room.

The randomly generated room can be:

  • An area with 9 chests filled with random items and equipment.
  • An area filled with Katz Spirits.
  • An area with a large number of enemies.
  • An area with enemies and blue/red flames: Extinguish blue flames to open portals, but the final portal requires all flames to be lit. You must extinguish blue flames to progress, then light red flames, backtrack, and re-light blue flames to reach the final portal.
  • An area with enemies and malevolence on the floors: Geoboard over the malevolence, avoiding vertical panels. Contact with malevolence sends you back to the beginning. Engaging in a fight results in touching malevolence upon completion.

Use the Denore Bottle to return to Mt. Killaraus and re-enter the rift to generate a different type of area if desired.

On Level 2 and higher, a Helper Katz appears near the Flame of Malevolence offering services for Katz Spirits:

  • Reduce the number of thorns: 25 Katz Spirits
  • Eliminate all thorns: 30 Katz Spirits
  • Detect all black embers: 35 Katz Spirits
  • Reduce black embers: 40 Katz Spirits
  • Extend the timer for the Flame of Malevolence: 45 Katz Spirits
  • Extinguish the Flame of Malevolence: 250 Katz Spirits

Level 2:

The Helper Katz is located to the north of the Flame of Malevolence.

  • To obtain the Hot Spring Outfit (Rokurou), talk to the katz in Danann Highway.
  • To obtain the Hot Spring Clothes (Laphicet), speak with the katz after extinguishing the Flame of Malevolence.
