Alright, let's tackle the second part of the Gaiburk Ice Field. It's not too long, but there are a few good items to grab and a tricky boss fight waiting for us.

As soon as you enter, you'll see an event bubble right in the middle. Go ahead and trigger that for a quick chat. After the conversation, head south. Keep an eye out on both your left and right sides as you go; you'll find a Soul Bottle and a Red Rosemary tucked away there. Once you've grabbed those, make your way up to the southern part of this section.

In this southern area, do a thorough sweep. You're looking for two chests containing a Mythril Garment and a Void Ring. Don't forget to grab the Katz Box while you're at it! After you've collected everything, approach the Code Red Hunt marker. It's time to face a tough one.

Boss: Spectral Crystal

Stats / Weaknesses:

• HP: 1071
• Type: Amorphous, Armored, Fiend
• Weakness: None
• Resistance: All Resistances

Strategy:

• This Spectral Crystal is a real pain because it resists *everything* and reflects any damage you deal. Seriously, it's designed to be difficult.
• Option 1 (Recommended for easier play): The simplest way to deal with this is to just lower the game difficulty to Easy. This removes its resistances and makes the fight much more manageable.
• Option 2 (For a challenge): If you want to fight it as intended, you'll need specific gear. You just found a Void Ring, so upgrade it to +5 if you can. You'll also want something to nullify non-elemental damage, like the Spiked Shoes. Equip Rokurou with both the upgraded Void Ring and Spiked Shoes.
• When controlling Rokurou, wait for the Spectral Crystal to attack. Just as an attack is about to hit him, activate his Vengeful Punishment Break Soul (press [R2/RT]). This might counter-attack and deal some damage. You'll likely need to do this multiple times.
• Another trick is to lure the Spectral Crystal into using its own Break Soul attacks. Sometimes, these attacks will reflect off your characters and hit the crystal itself, potentially defeating it quickly.
• Drops: Lunatic's Ventite

After that tough fight, head back to the area you were in before. Now, make your way to the northern part of this section. You'll find a spot for the skit Thoughts on a Scarlet Night – go ahead and trigger that. Finally, open the chest you find there to get a Topaz Fragment. That's it for this area!
