Master Port Cadnix in Tales of Berseria Remastered! Learn boss strategies for Shigure, find hidden treasures, and complete all side quests with this expert guide.

Alright, so you've made it to Port Cadnix! It's a pretty straightforward area, but there are a few things to keep an eye out for. As soon as you enter, make a quick sweep. Check the eastern side of the entrance for a handy Katz Box. Then, head to the western side, near the General Store, to snag a Tranquillo. Once you've got those, it's time to head down to the port itself – that's where the real action starts.

Boss: Shigure (2)

  • HP: 29521
  • Weakness: Fire
  • Resistance: Earth

So, you're going to run into Shigure again, but this time he's brought some backup – two exorcists. The good news is he's got a Fire weakness, and you've got your full party. Shigure's attacks aren't usually instant-killers, but his Mystic Arte can be nasty, so be ready for that. Your best bet is to focus on taking down those two exorcists first. Once they're out of the picture, Shigure will be much easier to handle. The battle should wrap up pretty quickly after that.

Important Note for Trophy Hunters: Make sure Shigure actually uses his Mystic Arte during the fight! The one he uses at the very end of the battle as part of the story *doesn't* count towards the trophy for seeing all Mystic Artes. You need to trigger it during combat.

Drops: Numbing Glacite

After you've dealt with Shigure, a skit called A Virtuous Spy will pop up. Go chat with the Code Red Hunt NPC nearby – you can turn in those three hunts you've been collecting for a sweet 6850 Gald. Next, head into the warehouse that's right there on the docks. Inside, you'll find a chest containing 1450 Gald. After that, you'll want to find the bandit you met earlier in Brigind Ravine. He's hanging around here, and near him is a chest with a Life Bottle. Grab it! Once you've got that, make your way towards the entrance of the Vesper Tunnels. You'll need to speak with the swordsmith there for some more info. Before you head off though, you can pop into the Inn to rest up. Doing so will trigger another skit, Impossible Training, featuring a shirtless Rokurou – classic! Finally, head back towards the Van Eltia, chat with one of the pirates, and then find Benwick. He's your ticket to Yseult.
