Alright, so you've just come from that intense skit, A Miraculous Escape. Before we push forward, there's a quick Code Red Hunt you should grab near the docks. It's for a bounty called the Millionaire, and it'll net you 7800 Gald. Once you've got that, head towards the Inn. You'll trigger another skit, Another Bet!. After that, you can take a breather and rest at the Inn – it'll trigger a scene, and then in the morning, you'll get the skit The Van Eltia in Danger. Listen in on the sailor chatter near the Inn and the warehouse; it's good for a bit of flavor. Then, chat with Eleanor; she'll get you sailing to Lionel Island. As you arrive, you'll get the skit The Reaper, Adrift, and then it's time to enter Baird Marsh.

Just follow the path for a bit, and you'll run into the skit Aifread, the Daemon. Right after that, the Clashing Creeds skit will kick off. Once that's done, take the western exit. Now, head for the northeast entrance – it's right next to a save point. Make your way towards the objective marker; a scene will play out.

Boss: Daemon Aifread

This guy, Daemon Aifread, has 100387 HP. He's listed as 'Unknown' for his weakness, but he's Neutral. Avoid Water and Earth attacks, as he resists them.

Aifread throws a lot of non-elemental martial artes at you, plus one earth-based malak arte. Honestly, despite his high Attack, he's not as tough as some of the bosses you've faced recently. His real trick is his Defense – only attacks that hit his non-elemental weakness will really put a dent in him.

Pro-Tip: Make sure you force Aifread to use his Mystic Arte! It's the only way you'll get the trophy for seeing all Mystic Artes in the game. Don't miss it!

Drops: Bottomless Denore Bottle

After that fight, you'll see the skit A Glimmer of Hope. Then, talk to Grim to get the skit A Desperate Plan. After that, have a word with Benwick, and finally, you'll get the skit The Death of the Captain.
