While badges and awards cannot be lost, dying or being captured and choosing to revive your pilot will reset them to Flight Officer or Flight Cadet. Awards and How to Earn Them:
- X-Wing Flight Badge: Complete Level 8 of the Proving Ground in your X-Wing.
- Y-Wing Flight Badge: Complete Level 8 of the Proving Ground in your Y-Wing.
- A-Wing Flight Badge: Complete Level 8 of the Proving Ground in your A-Wing.
- B-Wing Flight Badge: Complete Level 8 of the Proving Ground in your B-Wing.
- Kalidor Crescent: Attain at least 10,000 points in a single Tour of Duty mission (training and bonus missions do not count).
- Bronze Cluster: Earn at least 12,000 Tour of Duty points in a single mission (different from the 10,000-point mission).
- Silver Talons: Earn at least 14,000 Tour of Duty points in a single mission (different from previous missions).
- Silver Scimitar: Earn at least 16,000 Tour of Duty points in a single mission (different from previous missions).
- Golden Wings: Earn at least 18,000 Tour of Duty points in a single mission (different from previous missions).
- Diamond Eyes: Earn at least 20,000 Tour of Duty points in a single mission (different from previous missions).
- Corellian Cross: Awarded by Mon Mothma upon completion of Tour I.
- Mantooine Medallion: Awarded by Mon Mothma upon completion of Tour II.
- Star of Alderaan: Awarded by Mon Mothma upon the successful destruction of the Death Star.
- Shield of Yavin: Awarded by Mon Mothma upon completion of Tour IV.
- Talons of Hoth: Awarded by Mon Mothma upon completion of Tour V.
- Training Mission Patches: Earned for completing each training mission.
- Tour of Duty Ribbons: Earned for successfully completing each Tour of Duty mission (12 ribbons per tour, even if a tour has more than 12 missions).

- Captain: Requires completion of actual tour missions. Typically achieved by the end of the first tour if no deaths or captures occurred. Requires approximately 100,000 Tour of Duty points without dying or capture. Signified by three pins on the shoulder pad.
- Commander: A high rank requiring completion of numerous missions without capture or death. Requires around 250,000 Tour of Duty points without dying. Signified by four pins on the shoulder pad.
- General: The highest rank, requiring exceptional skill and luck. Requires 500,000 or more Tour of Duty points without dying. Signified by five pins on the shoulder pad.
