Chapter 2: Rescuing the Ydas Crew

Continue your Star Ocean: The Divine Force journey in Chapter 2, Rescuing the Ydas Crew. Learn about Elena's skills, new quests, and Private Actions.

Elena has joined your party. Access her Skill Tree to spend her SP. Elena is a melee fighter with a hybrid weapon that changes form. Her Skill Tree has skills like No Guard (northwest), Assassin (southwest), and the passive AP Saver (southeast) which reduces AP consumption and lasts longer when leveled up.

Quests:

• Meet Welch in Delryk to accept the Welch the Crafter Quest. Completing this quest unlocks Item Creation: Crafting, which is needed for the Delryk Oddball Quest.
• Speak with the Still Undaunted Explorer in the Village of Eda to accept the A Trekker's Charm Quest.

Private Actions:

• Raymond and Albaird in Rythal: An All-New Albaird
• Albaird in Eda: A Troubled Young Knight
• Laeticia and Nina in Eda: The Importance of a Good Night's Sleep
• Elena in Eda: Are You Not His Keeper? and Don't Push Her Buttons

Your next objective is to secure a ship in the Seaport of Rythal. Fast Travel to the Del'vyr Region and head south. A dialogue event will occur midway through the north section. Continue south and east, then head northeast to enter Rythal.

Upon entering Rythal, a scene will play. Head north from the entrance to the bottom of the ramp for party dialogue. Then, go to the Hospital for more scenes. Nina and Elena will temporarily leave the party. After the scenes, you will be at the Inn. Enter the sleeping rooms to check on Midas, who is ill. You regain control outside the Hospital.

To collect samples for Midas's illness, find seabird droppings:

1. Head to the northeast part of the plaza, go down the stairs, and fly up to the roof of the building. Examine the roof edge.
2. Go to the far south end of town, fly to the last building's roof, and examine the nest in the treetop beside the house.
3. Fly from the first slip on the north side of the dock to a ledge across the water to the north. The nest is in a cave on the ledge.

Return to the Hospital. Despite your efforts, ferries are not running, so you must travel to Cotto by land via the mountain trail from Galca Shrine.

Roaming Merchants:

After curing Midas, approach Ruddle, the Merchant King, south of the town entrance on the lower level. This starts the Roaming Merchants side quest. Guiding Ruddle's apprentices will add new items to shop inventories. You can find two apprentices now. Finding one rewards you with the Ernest (Pawn) accessory, which boosts Item Drop Rate by 180%.

New Quests:

• Welch contacts you again. Visit her in Delryk for the Welch the Smithy Quest, which unlocks Item Creation: Smithery.
• Speak with the Particular Craftsman in the alley behind the Delryk Inn. If you completed his Delryk Oddball Quest, he will offer a Junk Collector Quest.
• New Shop Orders are available.

New Private Actions:

• Raymond and Laeticia in Rythal: Mail Courier
• Nina in Delryk: Full Body Check?
• Laeticia and Raymond in Rythal: Welcoming Waters or Magnificent Mountains?

To continue the story, Fast Travel to Galca Shrine. Go up the stairs and watch a scene. Exit southeast into Hallowed Mount Galca-Lemthas.
