Master Part 36 of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure! This guide covers the 'Trial of Heart: Little Fish' and various other trials, offering tips and strategies to overcome every challenge.
Alright, we're diving into Part 36 of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure! This section throws a few different scenarios at you, starting with a bit of a scale-shift. Don't worry, we'll get through it together.
- 1You'll start in an area where enemies are present. Take them out. Keep an eye on the columns here, as they're related to a trophy or achievement. Once cleared, head north.
- 2Navigate through some folding blocks to reach another small group of enemies. Defeat them.
- 3After defeating those enemies, a Monster Gate will open. Proceed through more folding blocks.
- 4You'll encounter another group of enemies, this time including two tough Gargantulas. These spiders can be tricky to manage simultaneously. Focus on defeating the smaller enemies first. Then, you can try to circle around one Gargantula while keeping an eye on the other's attack patterns. Dodging its attacks should allow you to manage them.
- 5Cross two more sets of folding blocks. Before you step into the teleporter at the end, look for Eye-Brawl's Soul Gem, named "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out," located on the other side of it. Grab it!
Trial of Heart: Little Fish
Suddenly, you'll find yourself tiny, and everything else is massive! Even a Giant Skylander will feel small here. Look for the Story Scroll in the bottom right corner. Clear out the enemies in this section (again, the columns are for a trophy/achievement) and head north.
- Navigate through folding blocks to another set of enemies, including a couple of Jawbreakers.
- Go through the Monster Gate and then through some giant folding blocks to reach another bunch of enemies. This time, you'll face two D. Riveters and a pair of Jawbreakers.
- Proceed through another set of folding blocks. You'll reach a giant teleporter. Make sure you're standing directly in the middle to activate it correctly.
Choosing Your Path:
From here, you have a choice:
- Big Fish leads to the 'Trial of Element'. Neither the Fire nor Water trials have collectibles, so pick whichever element you prefer.
- Little Fish leads to the 'Trial of Valor'. The 'Princess' trial within Valor has a collectible.
Trial of Element: Fire
An ambush! Two Eruptors will attack. They throw fireballs as they move and create a circle of lava when they stop. Getting close can be tough because the eruption is fast. Try to keep your distance and watch out for those bouncing lava balls.
Trial of Element: Water
Another ambush! Three Zaps will attack. They move quickly, leaving behind slime that slows you down, and then shoot electricity. Keep circling them and attacking. Once one is down, the remaining two will fire two bursts each. After the second is defeated, the last one will fire three bursts.
Trial of Valor: Catch
This trial involves a chase! Run towards the key ahead of you. It will start moving and drop fireballs periodically. Avoid these and quickly cut left around the block. The key should move right, allowing you to grab it. If you miss it, you'll have to try and cut it off further down the path. If you fall too far behind, you'll be sent back to the start to try again.
- Continue forward. When you reach a point with a D. Riveter on a block above, go right.
- Defeat the pair of D. Riveters that jump out at you.
- Keep going up the slope, past some Chompies and a final pair of D. Riveters, until you reach a locked gate and the teleporter out of the trial.
Trial of Valor: Princess
You'll need to do some block pushing here.
- Drop down and push the block in front of you forward twice.
- Push the block to your left to the left three times, then push it back into its original position.
- Go up the ramp and over the block.
- While standing on the first block, push another block forward once. Then, push the block on the right to the right once.
- Go around and up the ramp to the Princess at the top. This opens the exit.
- Before leaving, go to the right. Behind the Root Runner, you'll find a Treasure Chest.
Trial of Knowledge: Reflection
More block puzzles await!
- Push the block with a crystal on it on your left up once.
- Push the block on the right up once, then left once.
- Go up the ramp and turn left.
- On the south side of the area with two blocks and a crystal, you'll find a Treasure Chest.
- Push the left block down once and then to the right.
- Push the crystal to the left and down twice.
- Push that previous block back to the left.
- Push the other block up once.
- Finally, push the crystal to the right four times to complete the light circuit and open the exit.
Trial of Knowledge: Puzzle
This trial involves solving puzzles on gates.
- The entrance puzzle is: Right x 3.
- Go left and solve the puzzle on the gate there: Left x 4, Right x 4.
- Grab the key, but don't open the locked gate yet. Double back to the right side of where you started and solve another puzzle: Left, Right x 2, Left, Right, Left x 2, Right, Left x 2.
- Proceed forward past the Root Runners (you can fight them if you want) and solve another puzzle: Left x 3, Right... (The source text cuts off here, but you get the idea – keep solving puzzles to progress!).
- Remember to grab Eye-Brawl's Soul Gem before the first teleporter!
- In the 'Little Fish' trial, pay close attention to the scale difference – enemies are huge!
- For the Gargantula fight, focus on the smaller enemies first and use hit-and-run tactics on the spiders.
- The 'Catch' trial requires precise timing and movement to grab the key. Don't get discouraged if you have to retry.
- Block puzzles require careful planning. Take your time to figure out the sequence.
